25.01.2022 Happy Friday everybody. Myself and my volunteers will be respectfully handing out my flyer this election like we did at the last council election. Like the last council election we will be fighting for every vote right up until 6pm on Election Day leaving nothing in the fuel tank. 14.01.2022 A message from Deputy Mayor Chris Trevor (CT): Today I am announcing that in view of the escalation of Coronavirus and the possibility of transmission via hand to surface I have decided today not to hand out my flyers in the lead up to and the day of the local government election. I now join the long list of other candidates not handing out flyers.This decision is a personal view and is designed to protect my volunteers including my family and the general public. 10.01.2022 A message from Deputy Mayor Chris Trevor: Hi all, as you know I have made a personal choice because of the escalation of the coronavirus not to hand out flyers during pre-polling and the day of the election. We have been advised that it is in order for voters to bring their own pencil or pen to the polling booths if they have any concerns in using the pencils that are provided. Best wishes, CT.

03.01.2022 A message from the Deputy Mayor Chris Trevor: The electoral commission of Queensland has extended its opening hours for local government pre-polling booths in the Gladstone Region. Those wanting to vote during the days of extended hours before March 28 can attend an early voting location. Today and tomorrow 9am-9pm, this Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm. Extended hours are also happening on Wednesday March 25th and Thursday March 26th 9:00am-9:00pm.

01.01.2022 It was good to catch up with my good friend Jason Hetherington after the City -v- Country Drought Relief Fundraising rugby league match on Saturday night. The country boys narrowly defeated us 22-20. Thanks to all who organised the event as well as spectators, volunteers and supporters. My good mate Chris Choppy Close and I have donated a State of Origin jersey to be auctioned off in the new year. One of my grandchildren Blake Trevor also got to watch poppy play rugby league. Another one for the bucket list ticked off. Fellow councillors Peter Masters, Khan Goodluck and yours truly still in recovery. Looking forward to the rematch next year when City will most certainly turn the tables.
