22.01.2022 A story about me... I didn’t realise my eyesight was so bad until I put on my new glasses and could actually see clearly for the first time in ages. .... Oooooh, so that’s what clear vision looks like -- I also didn’t realise how anxious and stressed I’d become until I learnt how to calm down my mind. "Ooooohhh, so that's what it feels like to be calm, happy and confident" The difference was amazing. --- Just like my poor eyesight, my anxiety and over-thinking felt normal because I’d lived with it for soooooo long . --- I have many clients that tell me they don’t think they’re stressed ... UNTIL they learn how to be calm, and then they can FEEL the difference. Is it possible you don’t even know how good your life could be??? 21.01.2022 Let’s talk stress and the FIGHT, FLIGHT or FREEZE response. We know that the human brain is wired to go towards pleasure and away from pain.... The lower brain doesn’t know that sugar, wine or Netflix bingeing is causing more damage in the long term, It thinks pleasure = survival And pain ( uncomfortable feelings) = death. - We must rely on the higher brain to override these instinctual urges. This is not easy (no shit Sherlock) We need knowledge, practice and perseverance to master this. - You with me so far? - BUT - when we are stressed it’s EXTREMELY difficult to engage the higher brain. Stress = primitive instincts Stress = lower brain in charge Stress = FIGHT, FLIGHT or FREEZE - Taking time to think and contemplate in times of extreme danger would have gotten us killed. However our stressful events no longer look like something is about to eat us, Now stressful events can be made up problems in our heads. - Mindfulness training can help you lower the stress response , so that the lower brain can calm down. So that the higher brain can do it’s job. - Practice being in the present moment. Practice focusing on your breath Get out of your head Be in the now Do it daily Chriss Ps- I am writing this for myself (as usual)

15.01.2022 It doesn’t matter how much money you have ... How much success How many followers ... If you have the perfect job, car, hair, body, etc. ... If the voice in your head is mean, critical, loud and constant , AND / OR If you take it seriously and personally ... then it’s likely you’ll be anxious or miserable a lot of the time. Learning the skills of Mindfulness, taught me how to make friends with my mind. Truly life changing #MoorebankMindfulness #Acceptance #Mindfulness

The goal of meditation is to become aware that my thoughts are separate to me And temporary ... I am the blue sky - - always there, can’t be damaged My thoughts and feelings are the weather - - passing on through.
