Like you, the Pilgrimage organising committee has been waiting to see what restrictions will be in place in regional Victoria by October before making any decisions about this years event. 20.01.2022 The forecast for Ballarat and Bendigo this weekend is looking a chance of rain! We will be walking rain, hail or shine so make sure you bring wet weather gear. We recommend you bring waterproof jackets with hoods or ponchos. We dont recommend umbrellas as these can be a safety problem when walking close together.

The 2019 Pilgrimage was the largest to date with over 500 participants and it was wonderful to see so many people join together to honour Christ our King. The Christus Rex Pilgrimage is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who rely on support and feedback from all those who attend the event. Guard us we pray Most Faithful One. Protect us from our enemies and from Your Just Judgment. Forgive us, O Sovereign King, our sins against you. Jesus, You are a King of Mercy. We have deserved Your Just Judgment Have mercy on us, Lord, and forgive us. We trust in Your Great Mercy. Because the ongoing restrictions on gatherings and travel in Victoria and the rest of Australia will prevent us from coming together in person, we invite you to instead unite with us spiritually for the feast of Christ the King on 25 October 2020. ... We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself to-day to Thy Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known Thee; many, too, despising Thy precepts, have reject-ed Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy ...Sacred Heart. Be King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have aban-doned Thee; grant that they may quick-ly return to their Father’s house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. 04.01.2022 St Patrick's Cathedral Ballarat opening Mass, 1891 AD. The Cathedral was consecrated in 1891 by Cardinal Moran of Sydney. It was the first Cathedral consecrated in the Australian Colonies, making it today Australias oldest consecrated Cathedral.
