14.01.2022 Hello Everyone, this is the first news of our great plans to celebrate St Brigid's Day next Saturday with a mass at 11 am at St Paul's, Humffray Street, Ballara...t followed by a lunch at The Church Retro Cafe, Albert Street, Ballarat. This should be of interest to every Brigid (or those with a variation of the spelling) and everyone with a touch of Ireland in their heart. I think it should be of particular interest to Brigid Mckinnon, Brigid Cappello, Brigid Cahill, Saving St Brigid's, just for starters. So you can budget - the lunch will cost $25 including a complementary juice with coffees and other drinks (The Church is a licensed venue) on sale. Our hosts, the wonderful Noreen Lynch and Fidelma Tracey are planning a lovely lunch. It may have a touch of Australian translation because of the heat. Tickets will be pre-sold - and, at the risk of sounding exclusive, there are only so many people The Church can hold so you will have to get in quick. You can get them from me - message me for contact details or other arrangements - or from The Church in Albert Street to-morrow afternoon. Your fingers will need to be nimble. Fidelma and Noreen have found a source of rushes and Fidelma will be teaching us to make the traditional St Brigid's Cross. If all goes well, we expect to have a special Brigid as our guest speaker.
