24.01.2022 May your new year be as shiny as our golden disco balls Despite the turbulent year we have all been through we did everything we could to put some joy and cake into everyone’s lives! It was hard to pick a favourite post from 2020 but this one makes us tear up every time ... Two gorgeous humans Anna and Bec got married early in the year right before the world got locked down. There’s was a story of love, hope and light all celebrated with a disco themed wedding of which we had the privilege to make their cake. We also had the honour of making a 1 year kidneyversary cake for Bec who is a transplant recipient. We are humbled to have helped everyone celebrate throughout what was a crappy year for everyone around us. Thank you to all of our loyal customers and suppliers who made it all possible and gave a reason to keep going. With gratitude, The Cielo Team

A visit from Wen and Guillaume from Valrhona was a lovely surprise last time they were in town. We can’t wait to see them again one day soon! We had lots of masterclasses and LOVED teaching you all about Valrhona as a company, it’s sustainable practices and all of the types of chocolate they make. We were very privileged to have @mat_valrhona @valrhonapacific come and talk at the classes for us too! Also a big thanks to @simonjohnsonprovidore for your on going support and supply! We have made so many delicious things, like our signature chocolate cake, that you all come back for time and time again. A BIG thank you to all of our chocoholics out there...we look forward to keeping you all in chocolate for the year to come

14.01.2022 We know it’s only the 5th of January and it makes us sad seeing hot cross buns already But the next stop for our trip down memory lane is our Easter eggs! We launched our jewelled Easter eggs in 2019 ( just happened to coincide with the last episode of @gameofthrones ).... We called them dragon eggs and that year you guys couldn’t get enough of them! Last year in 2020 Easter came and we were all locked down but we were adamant to get the eggs to everyone! So we posted, delivered and airfreighted any way we could to get them as far as NZ and all over Australia! Everyone’s want of fine chocolate at the beginning of lockdown did not disappoint This year our jewelled eggs will be available in store and online but not until the 12th of March! For now just enjoy looking at the pretties until Easter rolls around

10.01.2022 In our first year we began to do some fantastic events and degustations, like this one where we collaborated with @tramsheds @wholefoodshouse to create a dessert using whole food ingredients for a media event. It was called honey I’m home. Burnt honey brulee, carob honeycomb, black tahini jelly, macadamia crumb with roasted fennel gelato and pollen.

01.01.2022 We had the pleasure of making this elegant little number for the wedding of the lovely @cloec89 The celebrations were held at the the Maritime Museum which was the perfect back drop. Champagne Caine with rhubarb on the bottom layer and chocolate with raspberry hibiscus on the top.All wrapped in a layer of Opalys 33% white chocolate on the outside with fresh flowers.... It’s fantastic to see the weddings start up again
