First reaction when we have a 'pang' is to eat something We are approximately 60% water and the majority of us are dehydrated and our body will hold on to any water it has which can led to uncomfortable bloating... Keeping up your hydration helps to maintain blood volume which helps: *oxygen transport *maintains your body temperature *electrolyte balance. Your body needs water for every function it performs. When left untreated, chronic dehydration develops and is linked to many health conditions like high blood pressure and even kidney stones. If you suffer any of the following: *Overeating *Consistent fatigue *Dry skin/Dry skin eczema *Constipation *Muscle cramps *Dry mouth & bad breath Maybe you should look at your water intake? How much should you drink? According 'them' the experts 1 litre per 23 kgs of body weight.... Yikes! If you know you aren't drinking enough try the following: Start the morning with a glass of water before your coffee/tea Keep a water bottle with you on your desk and drink the lot before you go home Set your phone alarm to remind you hourly to drink 250mls of water it's just one cup an hour for approx 3 litres per day. And remember never refill a single use water bottle and continue to use unless you have some way of sterilising it.
