22.01.2022 Cirkus Surreal A show not to be missed! Performances on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th November - 6.00 pm for a 6.30 pm start. Tickets can be purchased from the front office.

21.01.2022 Students performing at Boxgrove this afternoon/evening, please bring something warm to wear under your costume that can't be seen. Swans and flamingos, can you please bring extra bobby pins if you have them. Meeting time is 4pm.

21.01.2022 Last night saw the final night of our end of year show, Through The Decades. A big thank you to the staff and parents who helped make this show happen, as well as the wonderfully talented students. More photos can be found on the Kelso High Campus Facebook page.

08.01.2022 Cirkus Surreal is very pleased to welcome Stuart Christie to their fold. Stuart will be our principal trainer on a Wednesday for the remainder of the year. He will be conducting training in the morning, sport and will offer assistance with the year 9/10 Circus Studies class. His bio is as follows. Stuart Christie graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts in 2004 with a Bachelor of Circus Arts. He was worked with companies such as: Kage Theatre for the World Expo 2...005 in Japan and in their Dance Theatre work Sundowner 2011/12. Circus Oz 2006-08 as a full time performer. Strut’&’Fret Productions in 2008/09 and 2011. Dislocate in South Korea for 3 Speed Crunch Box in 2011. The Sydney Opera House touring production of The Mad Hatters Tea Party in Melbourne and Canberra in 2017, as well as Captain Hooks Pirate Party which premiered at the Sydney Opera House in 2018. Stuart also performed as a freelance artist in the Melbourne cabaret scene and has also produced the cabaret nights A little bit of Shhh 2012/13/14 and Out of the Box 2015/16 in Melbourne, Albury/Wodonga, and ¡Ah-Ha! Katoomba 2017. In 2009 Stuart premiered his first independent full-length show with fellow performer Kane Pertersen in Dos or Duo which was nominated for best Circus show in both the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2009, and Adelaide Fringe 2010. In 2012 Dos or Duo were nominated for the Innovation and Excellence in Circus Green Room award for their second show Dos or Duo Deux. Between contracts and performance, Stuart engaged in teaching circus to both professionals and community from 2003 to the present. This ranged from the performance troupe of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus in Albury, to community workshops with all ability participants with Little Devil Circus south east Melbourne to older age participants from the Fruit Bats Albury. He has also worked with disengaged youth with Circus Oz, as well as serious circus buffs in Tasmania, Mullumbimby and Melbourne Aerial Arts and Circus Festivals. Whilst living in Melbourne Stuart was one of the main trainers for a 3 term project in Cardinia, one of the outer suburbs in Melbourne working with disengaged youth to create a student lead creation call Shadows on the Footpath directed by Luke O’Connor and performed in the Cardinia Theatre on the 21st November 2008. Most recently after moving from Albury to the Blue Mountains in 2016, Stuart has been teaching for Aerialize Aerial theatre in Canterbury Sydney and in his own classes based in Blackheath, under the name of Bah-Hah. The classes he specializes in at Aerialize are: Advanced Corde Lisse (vertical rope), Silks, Double trapeze, Solo static trapeze, and is one of the main trainers for the performance troupe. At Bah-hah he teaches Silks and also a range of acrobatics, tumbling, acro-balance and hand-balancing classes.

03.01.2022 Despite adverse weather conditions, students performed at Boxgrove today for Devro's 40th anniversary celebrations. It was also wonderful for us to catch with with former Kelso High student and Cirkus Surreal performer, Gabbi Bolt.

Year 7 Circus training starts next Wednesday period 1, Week B. Please bring appropriate clothing to change into.... Training will be in the Gym.
