25.01.2022 Heaps of rosemary at Cittaslow Corner! The rosemary hedge at Cittaslow Community Garden had a hair cut yesterday, hence an abundance of fresh rosemary! How about making a Rosemary Christmas Wreath for the front door, or cooking up a rosemary storm :)

24.01.2022 Another successful working bee in Jekejeri Park with another 50 native shrubs planted. Australia has almost 1000 species of Acacia and we planted 3 that are endemic to South Australia they are. L-R A. rhetinocarpa classified as "vulnerable" and occurs in small patches between Strathalbyn and Murray Bridge, A. pinguifolia classified as "endangered" and only occurs around Finnis with another population on the Eyre Peninsula and A, dodonaeifolia which is wide spread in Alexandrina Council area.

18.01.2022 How many community gardeners does it take to put up hoops for shade cloth? Quite a few! A terrific working bee today at the Cittaslow Goolwa Community Garden. Each bed will have 50% shade cloth to protect plants from the hot sun & conserve water, a win all round!

17.01.2022 Unfortunately Cittaslow Goolwa At the Wharf, the monthly celebration of local food, wine, music and dancing on Signal Point deck and lawns, will not resume on the October long weekend as planned. It is hoped that the need to restrict social gatherings will reduce as the summer season progresses so we will be able to resume these events on the last Friday evenings of each month before the end of the year.
