03.01.2022 ! Bowlers from all over Victoria converged at City Bowls Club, Warrnambool, for Day 1 of events today. With some ...lengthy games we’ve run a bit over time, with many games still currently in play at 10.00pm. Special thanks to City Bowls Club’s General Manager Julie, Bowls Coordinator Bryan and President Gary, for making us all so welcome and their effort and planning that went into getting today off to a smooth start. Thanks also to all our umpires and officials, as well as the dozens of Warrnambool locals volunteering their time this week. With pairs and fours on today’s schedule we’ve seen many bowlers having to play multiple games across events, no mean feat on a 30 degree day. Shout outs to the Sandbelt girls currently fighting it out in their fourth game of the day, as well as Central Goulburn Murray who just secured a semi-final berth in the fours to go with their earlier pairs win. We’ll be kicking off tomorrow morning with the continuation of the men’s and women’s pairs and fours semi-finals, followed by the Over 60’s last 16. Then the afternoon will see the pairs and fours finals, and that’s when our live streaming will commence (game/s to be announced tomorrow).
