24.01.2022 Over the seven day course of NAIDOC Week, the City has had representation at events on every other day of the celebration. The City has also supported the event financially, contributing more than $20,000 in sponsorship, as well as through donated venue hire and equipment, and organisational support, including having staff involved in the organising committee from the outset. Our staff and Councillors were proud to participate in the NAIDOC march on Monday, and the City continues to support Reconciliation in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community.

You probably didn't know that in order to keep our community safe, our team need you to fence any portable pool that is 300mm deep or more. 23.01.2022 Community update - you may notice that the Aboriginal Flag is currently not being flown in centennial park. This is due to the flagpole being out of order with some of the recent weather activity our City has experienced. Our maintenance team are onto it and are conducting repairs to the pole today.... The ghost hunters also encountered a woman in Victorian dress, standing on the stage. They did try to communicate with these spirits but they weren't replying It was all a bit scary! Four years later, I cannot help turning my eyes up to the dress circle, when entering the main hall, to check if the man is sitting there! 13.01.2022 Oh no ... This week our team were called out to a sewer blockage where a significant amount of wet wipes were discovered. Wet wipes get caught and cause major issues in our sewer lines.... You can see the catchment area where these nasty wet wipes are coming from in the image below. This area was also jetted in April of this year, where wet wipes were also removed as the problem. Please don’t put any wet wipes, make up removal wipes or cleaning wipes down the sink or toilet. These products DO NOT BREAK down.
