20.01.2022 Waste Wise Ryde - Towards Zero Waste Project We're looking for 30 households in the City of Ryde that are keen to improve their waste and recycling habits to participate in a 3-month trial from March to May 2021. Participants will be provided with resources and support to help them on their journey towards zero waste. These include:... A toolkit with waste and recycling information Reusable items to replace single-use items Either a compost bin, a worm farm or a Bokashi bin to reduce food waste A booklet to record and assess waste generated throughout the trial. Participants will be asked to record and assess their weekly waste during the trial, and also to evaluate and report back on their progress at the end of the 3-month trial. 18.01.2022 WHAT’S ON THIS LUNAR NEW YEAR This year, we’ll be celebrating the Lunar New Year (LNY) a bit differently because of COVID-19. We’ve teamed up with local businesses in the Eastwood Town Centre to bring you specials during the LNY period (12 to 26 February 2021) that you can enjoy with friends and family. Starting from 12 February, you’ll also be able to enter a competition to win a $100 gift card, from a pool of $40,000 in gift cards, to spend in businesses that join the Lov...e Eastwood Gift Card program.
