22.01.2022 Hi to all our beautiful and loyal customers. Winding up for 2020- what a year! Thanks to everyone for your custom this year. I will be in Wagga for a couple of days next week if anyone needs eggs please get in touch. Otherwise be assured will still be collecting our delicious fresh eggs over the next fortnight and they will all be available again in the second week of Jan after we have a much needed break. Wish our girls luck in the hot weather to come! And merry Christmas to you all and your families and thanks for all your support, encouragement and beautiful compliments. 04.01.2022 The highs and lows of chicken breeding. This is Broody Jail. The one on the left has been convicted of eating 10 of her 12 babies upon hatching. On the right, a convicted case of child abandonment- she left the nest as soon as chicks started hatching and attempted to steal another mother’s unhatched eggs. And the 2 in the middle are guilty of endangering future lives through a lack of commitment to sit on eggs for 3 weeks when they promised they would. All are sentenced to a week in the broody jail with only bread and water until they snap out of it and start laying again
