10.01.2022 Hello! Long time! It’s been a hectic few months for me and my other half, completing our reno on our house and selling it in October (YAY!). We’re now knee deep in open homes, on the hunt for our next project house somewhere in or around the inner west of Sydney. Last week we took a well deserved break, driving up to the Central Coast for a relaxing stay in Woy Woy Bay I got to pull out my paintbrushes once again and finished 4 paintings which I’ll be uploading this week to Bluethumb This one titled The Pardalote Boys is already available (https://bluethumb.com.au/clare-mccartney) A3 Watercolour on my fave 300gsm Arches medium paper. 07.01.2022 Hi! I’m working from home now as opposed to training it into the city for my day job. I don’t know about you but I’ve found it’s freed up so much of my time Yesterday my lucky little fur children got an extra walk, I tried a new recipe (pappardelle de boscaiola ) and I did some painting in those hours normally reserved for travelling! Finding the silver lining is what it’s all about Oh and by the way, I’ve uploaded lots of these mini A5 (very affordable) paintings to my website claremccartney.art They’re available while the post office is still open! @ Sydney, Australia

06.01.2022 Fairy Wrens, Frangipanis & Foliage Just finished! After a whole heap of procrastinating I’ve made some goals for all these hours I’m saving by not leaving my house. This A3 size watercolour was inspired by my mini paintings and I’m loving the colours (quinacridone gold and french ultramarine blue) which make up the plantlife Ready for its new home now - have a look in my shop or on my website

06.01.2022 Between pool and sea dips this week I did a bit of experimenting with a palette limited to 5 colours, and inspired by the little birdies around our Thai resort. Here’s one painting that came out of it - primarily painted with permanent magenta and quinacridone gold - of a Eurasian Tree Swallow and a rather pink frangipani tree
