23.01.2022 What a lovely visit to Sunflower Childcare Centre today. Such great Children and teachers. Couldn't have asked for a better visit to speak about Oral Hygiene and sing songs about brushing . Great art work from the children and we got flowers YAY

18.01.2022 Closure of the Child Dental Benefits Schedule As of July 2016 the government will be closing the Child Dental benefits (up to $1000 over two years). Please be advised if your child/ Children have remaining funds and need dental treatment please try to get into your dentist as soon as possible to finish remaining treatment, or if they have not yet had an appointment. ... The benefits cover: -Check up, clean, fluoride and x-rays -Fissure sealants (to protect adult teeth from decay) -Fillings -Extractions (removal of teeth) and more. Please notify friends and family of the upcoming changes as some family's are not aware. For an appointment please call 96233434. 14.01.2022 NEW INFORMATION: Great to see CDBS is continuing even though the amount of benefit is reduced to $700 over 2 calendar years for Children/Teens 2-17 years old. Program information for families The Child Dental Benefit Scheme provides individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services p...rovided in a hospital. On 15 December 2016, the Minister for Health announced changes to the benefits cap entitlement commencing 1 January 2017. Children commencing a new cap period in 2017 will have access to a benefit cap of up to $700 over a two calendar year period. Children who commenced a cap period in 2016 will continue to access the remainder of a benefit cap of up to $1,000 until 31 December 2017, provided the child is eligible for the CDBS in 2017. The CDBS has a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment. Families can check whether their child is eligible for the CDBS by contacting the Department of Human Services.
