20.01.2022 Over the last couple of years, we have partnered with Jericho Road to offer an Introductory Program in Pastoral Care. This semester, Jericho Road will run their... Introductory Program in Pastoral Care through Zoom, which provides an opportunity for students to engage in the class via online means. Jericho Road's Introductory Program in Pastoral Care is designed for those who wish to volunteer in visiting their local hospital or aged care facility. It is also a great program for those involved in pastoral care in their local church. Over the five weeks we will cover topics such as the following: - What is pastoral care? - Why Christians should be involved in pastoral care - How you can listen better - How you can develop character strategies and skills in caring well for others - What you can do for those experiencing grief and loss - How to think theologically about pastoral care - How you can look after yourself when helping others in their distress Classes are held over six Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm, starting August 12, 2020. The classes are interactive and questions and group participation is encouraged. There will be a short assignment to complete each week. The cost for the program is $100. 19.01.2022 What a great day yesterday. Beautiful weather, the band was pumping out some great tunes, great kids talk and prayers. Could tell everyone had been missing having a chat!!!! Thanks to all who helped out setting up for the outdoor Spring combined service. Looking forward to the next one!!!
