Our heart breaks to share this news with you, as we have been acclimatised to the new norm, but it is what we as a community need to do in order to stay safe. ... 15.01.2022 CNC NEWS The committee has deliberated over the fees for the current 2020 Winter season. After much discussion we have come to the decision to keep the fees as originally stated. Clarendon Netball Club fees have always been heavily subsidised by sponsorships, fundraising and canteen revenue. All three of these contributors have already or will be taking a loss this current season, which means we will be using player fees to keep the club running. Currently, the club has ...lost approximately $6000 from sponsorships, fundraising and canteen revenue for the year. Due to the nature of the current season, Clarendon Netball Club is running at a loss due to higher running costs. Your fees each season cover Netball SA insurance fees, SHNA player registration, SHNA team registration, umpire payments, equipment (balls, bibs, first aid supplies), annual court resurfacing, end of season presentation gifts and trophies, electricity for lights on the courts. Additionally, this year we have been required to purchase cleaning and sanitisation equipment. We are still looking for potential sponsors who can help us get through this season with minimal loss. AdelaideAqua is the front name for the Adelaide Desalination Plant. A lot of questions get thrown around about us, Does it even run? being the most popular one. The answer to that is YES! In fact, we have been supplying your water direct to your tap for the last few months, while Mt Bold was drained and the Happy Valley Reservoir was turned off for maintenance. The Adelaide Desalination plant can produce a max of 300 MegaLitres a day. How many litres in a mega litre? Thats 300 million litres a day! Convert that down, and your looking at 208,000 litres a minute, or 70,000 Litres a second! 48% of the sea water that we intake is turned into drinking water, after going through several filtration cycles of varying degrees. The other 52% is returned to the ocean via the outfall pipes as super salty saline water. The fish love this, and we harbor a very healthy fish population in our exclusion zone. See video in our next post! We are also one of the greenest desal plants in the world, and currently we are having solar panels installed to boost that even more. How many solar panels would it take to power the plant? Well if you were to stand each panel top to tail on top of each other, it would reach from planet earth to the moon! Thats approx. 384,400 kms worth of solar panels!

09.01.2022 Dear All, Important update At 3:15pm today, the Premier announced that from midnight tonight, Monday, November 16, community sport fixtures and training will b...e cancelled for a two-week period, with the potential for extension In addition, Netball SA’s recommendation is to act with precaution and cancel trainings due to take place tonight. Safety will always be our number 1 priority- with the suspension of matches and training we are optimistic this will be for only a short time. We remind our members the importance of not becoming complacent and to keep up the positive safe hygiene practices. We will adapt as needed - thank you for your understanding.
