25.01.2022 Our students didn’t need much convincing when they were asked to design their own ice cream sundaes. Imagine how these will look in full colour!

24.01.2022 There’s nothing better than going into the studio and working on new artworks for our program. Saturdays are all about experimenting, practicing, researching and creating. Some things are a hit, many are a miss but it’s always a learning process. Stay tuned for information about our January school holiday program.

23.01.2022 Our busy bees at Malabar PS made these stunning artworks by using a simple printmaking technique. The results are simply sweet!

22.01.2022 In the spirit of Anzac Day, we have just added another simple lesson plan called Anzac Poppies. Since we cant attend dawn services, I would encourage children to hang up their artwork in their front windows as a small tribute to commemorate and honour our war veterans. Check it out at www.classartzacademy.com.au/home-artz/anzacpoppies/

20.01.2022 We have just posted three new art modules to our Home Artz page. New artworks will be up next Tuesday around this time!

20.01.2022 Even our wonderful teacher Miss Sophie is using this quiet time to immerse herself in art. She set herself a challenge this month to recreate some of her favourite travel pics.

19.01.2022 Students at Waverley PS created these layered backgrounds of watercolour, splatter painting and oil pastel resist which are going to set the stage for an incredible torn paper collage. Stay tuned for photos of the finished artworks.

18.01.2022 The students at Bourke St PS learned that paper tearing encourages useful finger and coordination skills. Our collage project was not as easy as it looks but they still came up with some incredible work. via ripl.com

17.01.2022 Pretty soon, these paper mache donuts are going to look better than the real thing (the ones on the left) Exploring new art experiences for something very special we will be launching soon.

16.01.2022 Music makes our art heart sing. These beautiful music-inspired abstract marker paintings are from our amazing students at Woollahra PS.

16.01.2022 Taking a step back from all the negativity at the moment, lets just take a minute to admire the childrens work accomplished in the 3 weeks of term we had together. So talented and proud of them all! . . . .... . . . #primaryart #primaryartclass #primaryartteacher #artstudent #childrensart #childrenspainting #artteachersofig #artclass #pirates #parrotsofinstagram #pirateship See more

16.01.2022 It amazes me to know that our Home Artz page is reaching audiences in Japan, Thailand, Poland, South Africa, France, United Kingdom, Canada, United States and many more countries. Check out our super-fun Koi fish using 'marker painting' technique on the Home Artz page on our website. Easy guided drawing steps to help you create your own masterpiece.

15.01.2022 How did these students from Como West PS achieve these stunning backgrounds without using paint? We experimented with a fun and easy technique that anyone can do at home. All you need is a plastic folder sleeve, coloured markers and a bit of water. Voila! If you like these backgrounds, you will love what will go on them. Stay tuned for the reveal soon.

14.01.2022 Our lovely student Evie from Clovelly PS sent me a message to say how much she was missing art classes. She is staying creative by drawing beautiful illustrations like this. This is 'Dapple's eye' and her cat was the inspiration.

14.01.2022 Thank you to Craig Gibson who interviewed me in March for an article written for a new website called Kidsbook. It's a wonderful website helping parents find fun and creative activities for their children. https://blog.kidsbook.io//kids-art-classes-head-online-fo/

13.01.2022 Never underestimate the power of art to help with reducing stress, taking your mind off things and tapping into a state of flow. Amid he chaos and uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak, students from Woollahra PS put their focus into their drawings and created these amazing artworks. These are more than just parrots- they are emotions, ideas, fears and wishes all translated onto paper. They are a wonderful expression of hope and positivity for everyone.

13.01.2022 I think parents from our Tuesday and Wednesday Paddington PS classes are going to need to find some wall or fridge space to showcase these cartoon beauties! Stunning work!

12.01.2022 Something new is coming to Class Artz Academy. Ill give you a hint - it will be online and on demand. Cant wait to reveal it!

08.01.2022 For all those children who can’t make it to our after school classes, but who want to do art at home, you might want to consider our online, on demand series open to children from kindergarten to Year 6. There are 10 classes each with a different skill set focus. Check out our website for more information.

08.01.2022 Never underestimate the impact that a simple lead pencil can have in an artwork. Shadow, tone, blending - the results are stunning. Thanks to Miss Louise and her amazing students at Paddington PS for these amazing treehouses.

08.01.2022 This fantastic fleet sailed through both The Tuesday and Thursday classes at Clovelly PS. I love how the vibrant colour pops against the silhouette ships.

08.01.2022 Meet Tia the Ragdoll cat- Class Artz Academy’s resident quality control inspector who takes her job quite seriously. This week, she made sure that the new artworks were mounted to perfection.

07.01.2022 Kids are naturally creative. They are curious and open to new art experiences. 06.01.2022 A former very talented student of mine came to see me yesterday and gifted me with the most beautiful hand-painted cards he made to raise money for the Australian bushfire relief fund. Jasper is only 10 years old and his original artwork was printed onto cards that he is now selling. His heartfelt gesture of kindness and compassion touched me greatly. Art can be healing and cathartic. Thank you so much Jasper and Mum Janet

05.01.2022 Students had fun experimenting with watercolor pencils to finish off their treehouses. Every house had a story!

05.01.2022 I hope these artworks from our students at Paddington PS put a bit of sunshine in your day. Happy little honeybees!!!

04.01.2022 Isolation hasn't kept us from planning some exciting changes at Class Artz Academy. Our new branding and logo is just one of many things to come. All will be revealed soon. Thanks to Olivia from Creativia for the fresh new look.

04.01.2022 This is kindergarten art. Yep- KINDERGARTEN! Kids who are 5 and 6 years old made these. We have about 40 kindy students peppered across our 9 classes. What I enjoy the most about teaching them is that they are not hung up on the outcome of what art is ‘supposed’ to look like. When they create, they are joyful. It’s as simple as that!

03.01.2022 Our young artists took treehouse architecture to a whole new level this week by designing and drawing their own fabulous tree fort. We had everything from a crows nest lookout to a fire pole, a bungee cord and zip line. Plenty of fun was had sharing ideas and learning how to draw what they envisaged in their heads.

03.01.2022 Were back! Term 3 has kicked off with a buzzing bang. We are so excited to bee back in the classrooms. We kicked off our first week with printmaking and doing beehive honeycombs. Amazing start with our students from Como West Ps.

02.01.2022 These mesmerizing spiral suns will become the focal point of the masterpieces we are working on this week. Students at Waverley PS are using water soluble oil pastels so when they add water to these backgrounds, the image will be completely transformed. Stay tuned for the results!

01.01.2022 Our online program is getting wonderful reviews. We love it when our customers are happy. Thank you Sylvia and to the many others who have sent me positive comments and feedback about the Creative Expression Sessions package. Keep sending me your photos!

01.01.2022 Nothing makes me more happy than seeing our students create their own art that reflects their unique personalities and individual style. Jessica from Como West PS took birds to the next level by using two different mediums to create with. Her first was a drawing inspired by a postage stamp and the second was the clever use of dominoes (yes, dominoes!!!) to create a mosaic style of bird. I love the ingenuity and ability to think outside the lines!

01.01.2022 Real or fake? I think our paper mache donuts could fool anyone!
