11.01.2022 Introducing the Island Cushion, designed and developed by the in-house design team at C.L.E.A. The Island cushion is a rectangular cushion at w1200mm x d800mm x h300mm. The cushion allows for various seating positions. The cushion can be used flat or up against a wall creating support for our precious little angels. The Island Cushion is filled with crumbled CFC free foam that comes from a recycled source. The Island Cushion has an internal bag to house all crumbed foam maki...ng sure that, if the outside cover is opened that all crumbed foam stays inside. The two bag method allows for new covers to be purchased if damaged or time for an update. This aspect of the design follows our sustainable business model by keeping components replaceable over replacing the complete piece that is costly to both the consumer and the environment. The Island Cushion is available in a range of fabrics. Grade A Fabric = $154.00 per piece Grade B Fabric = $194.00 per piece

Manufactured locally in CLEAs manufacturing headquarters from locally sourced materials. At CLEA our, upholsterers use a technique called on the bench upholstery. All pieces are upholstered by one individual over components in a production line. This means the upholsterer has control over the whole finishing of a product. This technique is used on higher quality pieces, where attention to detail is important.

04.01.2022 Cabramatta West Public School, required some custom banquette pieces. The brief was for the pieces to sit up against a wall when an open plan was required. They also wanted the pieces to separate the two sections when used by different classes. The high back allows for room separation, a rectangular ottoman can be placed on the other side and double seating with a shared back is created. Make sure you get in contact to discuss custom pieces that could create functional spaces.

02.01.2022 Learning is best achieved through experience. I read an article the other day, it described the apartment on the 20th floor as having floor to ceiling glass windows. I stopped reading for a second and started to question; can a glass wall be called a window? The answer is no! Windows are not simply a lookout point, windows allow fresh air and smells to travel in and out, noises become part of the experience, light travels and changes.
