25.01.2022 Blue.planets_co’s one year anniversary! For the anniversary we went back to the lake where we started with just the Blue.planet_co team and Liam from Clean Up P...layford City There is always SO much rubbish down at the lake, most of it was within the water and throughout the weeds but this time we were prepared and brought a blow up boat which enabled us to get to the tough spots. Nearly fell in the water a couple of the times and it wasn’t as easy as I thought to control a blow up boat but it did the job for today It’s so amazing where Blue.planet_co is today and we want to thank everyone who follows us, supports us and especially who comes out and gives up their time to clean up with us Thank you all Our Community Clean Up details will be realised soon

17.01.2022 As South Australia has now hit its second wave of COVID-19 and new restrictions announced by the Premier today, all Clean Up Playford City clean up events tha...t have been booked for the rest of the year are now cancelled indefinitely. This will continue until such time it is safe to relaunch the events. I apologise for those of you who have supported this project since its launch in 2019 however I must make sure everyone's safety is not placed at risk during this second wave. This year has been hard but the Clean Up Playford City project has prevailed to deliver countless outcomes for the Playford community. A new action plan as of tonight has been completed for next year and we will be coming back stronger for 2021.

16.01.2022 Thank you to the team at blue.planet_co for inviting me to help supervise for last weeks massive clean up. Awesome to have so many locals involved today to help out at Dead Man's Pass in Gawler.

03.01.2022 BREAKING: Our legislation to ban single-use plastics in South Australia has passed Parliament. South Australia is once again leading the nation in making import...ant decisions to protect our environment. The legislation at first bans single-use plastic items like straws, cutlery and beverage stirrers and outlines a framework for adding more items in the future. However, in light of ongoing impacts from the coronavirus pandemic, the commencement of the legislation won’t occur until early 2021. This will give businesses time to bounce back before the ban comes into effect. We’re proud to be leading the way in taking action on single-use plastics.

Due to COVID-19 events had be put on hold but I can now ...say I have been given the go ahead by the team at Clean Up Australia to restart events in Playford. I am developing a new Action Plan for the rest of the year to focus on what is going to deliver really great outcomes for our community in Playford.
