22.01.2022 It’s a perfect day to just chill with your dog Do you ever just ‘be’ together. Slow down, take a break and just hang out? Slowing down is one thing everybody has learnt to do lately so let’s involve our dogs too! It’s easy for them to get caught up in the rush of daily life but they truly appreciate quiet time with their people, taking in their surroundings... together. Can you spot the little friend that joined us this morning on the grass? so cute!

15.01.2022 Don’t forget our wild friends in this heat. A shallow bowl of fresh water is always appreciated just ensure they are not accessible to curious dogs and cats.

09.01.2022 Puppy class is such an important class for puppies. So important it should be compulsory! We love running this class; but it takes a lot of close attention and experience to get it right. This is why people should choose their puppy class very carefully as puppy classes are not created equally! On Sunday we were lucky to have my sister come along. Teresa (Forbes) happens to run tjm photographics and got some great pictures for us. Its not easy taking close up pictures of fas...t moving puppies (& people) but here are a few of my favourite pics! Thank you Teresa Forbes! You'll see some pictures that show puppies in various postures (and yes Prie is about to sit down, not go to the toilet!) Some puppies can be a little worried in class and its vital that your trainers know how to run the class safely so that the more fearful puppies build their confidence (And that the more confident puppies learn how to socialise appropriately!) This was Prie's second class but the first time she was ready to say hello to other puppies and play! Puppy class should be a relatively small class with a good ratio of trainers to pups. Most classes run indoors & weather dependent our class also runs indoors but we also have a lovely outdoor space for puppies only on our (private property) training ground in Oakford. If you know someone who has just welcomed a puppy into their home please tell them to give us a call or check out our website. We'd love to see them at Puppy class or Taming the teenage pup! If we cant help them due to location or class times we will give them the name of someone else who is reputable and also runs quality classes.

06.01.2022 How lucky we are to have such a beautiful coastline and opportunities to get out and about with our dogs! <3 Early morning and early evening are the safest times to go out with your dog on these incredibly hot days. Heat stress in dogs is very real. Burnt paws are very real. Even hot beach sand can and does burn. If you miss the early morning opportunity to get moving then it's ok to stay home for the day! Play some scent games inside instead or pull out the enrichment activities. Then let your dog snooze the hot day away :)
