06.01.2022 A big congrats to @anna.davey who smashed the Skywall in qualis, and took out the open win at Cliffhanger on the weekend during @sportclimbvic state titles. Anna was humble about her chances at the start of the comp, given her focus on bouldering, but she took the opportunity to travel to Melbourne's west all the way from WA, and switch her sights to lead. She took out the thousand dollar cash prize from two other interstaters, Ash Brooks and Josie Wardrop, in a tight finish..., which was a great testament to the work of head setter Mitch Day, also from WA, and his team of Lauren Marc, Dick Lodge and Mikey Musch. Also a big thanks to the work of Sport Climbing Victoria, headed by Phil Goebel and Denise on the day, and the rest of the tireless committee, who made it possible, and for their work creating para climbing categories and inclusive categories. Also a big thanks to all the volunteers, especially the belayers, who worked tirelessly over two days.
