25.01.2022 Our honeybees have had lots of nurturing over this winter and are showing they are keen to move into the spring season where there is plenty of action in the flower department Moving our bee hives to the area where the flowers are each month means they will bring in different tasting honey depending on the flower source. How can you help honeybees?... Planting a pollinator garden helps honeybees immensely. Bees rely on the nectar and pollen from nearby flowers for their survival; when flowers are scarce, bees can starve. By planting a pollinator garden, you're ensuring that bees have a source of food year round -- just be sure your garden is pesticide free. @nikkiki73 #authentickangaroooisland #seesouthaustralia #ligurianbees

19.01.2022 Congratulations to newly weds Mr and Mrs Paul and Rainey Wood Originally planned their wedding for last Saturday which was during the SA lockdown. On the day of the lockdown announcement they contacted their wedding celebrant and arranged to be married on that Wednesday night Now they are here on Kangaroo Island on their honey moon. Friends dared them to dress up at the honey farm in these "Bee" costumes and so they asked if they could and got dressed up and had fun visit. Such a fun gorgeous couple, we wish you every happiness. Thank you for bringing joy.

Flowering occurs from September to November or from January to February or May and the flowers are white. Our bees work different varieties of Mallee trees.
