25.01.2022 Not an artist. Not an activist. But it's that easy to express solidarity with #ss4c today on their global day of action. And to express disgust with the "gas-fired recovery" - the gaslight fallacy. Keep it up School Strike 4 Climate, you deserve better than this bullshit from Scott Morrison (ScoMo) and co. #schoolstrike4climate #fridaysforfuture #FundOurFutureNotGas #globaldayofclimateaction

25.01.2022 Sam Spinks (pictured) felt fundamental values close to her heart had not been sufficiently explored by the City of Greater Shepparton council and so encouraged by The Greens, she nominated for the Saturday, October 24, municipal election. The young mother is one of large field contesting the October poll and she represents The Greens and during the episode explains her alliance with the political party. Details about the October 24 election are available from the council website.

25.01.2022 A podcast adaption of an important webinar that helped hundreds of attendees learn more about gas and its impacts, and the government’s plans for a "gas-fired recovery". Listen up at https://www.climactic.com.au//climactic-live-pecan-gecan-/

24.01.2022 Beyond Zero Emissions recently held a panel off the back of ABC Fight for Planet A - Our Climate Challenge. It featured Craig Reucassel, Damon Gameau, Imogen Jubb and Jess Pangyres, and was inspiring, uplifting, and action-focused. On what communities can do, are doing, and how it's already reshaping our society and economies towards regeneration. Collective member Leigh Baker kindly adapted this event, and we're proud to release it on the Climactic and Climactic Live podca...st feeds. 23.01.2022 New Climactic Club newsletter is out! Subscribe so you don't miss an issue! "Climate Events... There is so much going on in the climate space at the moment, we are so happy to see people using this transition period to gather momentum. A big congratulations to yesterday's School Strikes 4 Climate, even though there were more signs than students your message was just as loud, "Fund our future - not gas". We hear you and we hope our politicians did too."

23.01.2022 Professor Gary Kendrick’s great love is the WA coastline and its seagrasses. Gary and colleagues have been at the forefront of seagrass restoration and the blue carbon movement more broadly. And with such a massive extent of coastline featuring globally significant carbon stores, world heritage sites, and deep community and cultural knowledge, the potential for WA is enormous. Gary takes us to one of his favourite parts of WA, to share a little of this spectacular story. The Clean State WA podcast is produced and hosted by Anthony James, Perth-based creator of The RegenNarration podcast. For more stories of regeneration around WA, Australia and the world, tune into The RegenNarration wherever podcasts are found, or at https://www.regennarration.com.

22.01.2022 #Repost @overview.effect.podcast (@get_repost) In the latest episode with @olicostello from @firesticks.alliance.network we talk about the mentality of us as humans being ‘separate’ to Nature. But we as people belong to the land... the land does not belong to people.... When we realise that we play a very small role in the scheme of something much bigger than ourselves, we start to change the way we think about certain ‘current affairs’. #podcast #Aboriginal #Culture #Nature #Humanity

22.01.2022 #Repost @davidattenborough WELCOME! David Attenborough has spent a lifetime travelling, exploring the wild places of our planet and documenting the living world in all its variety and wonder. He’s also witnessed the damaged caused. Saving our planet is now a communications challenge. We know what to do, we just need the will.... That’s why we want to share this message on Instagram. Because there is hope and together, we can inspire change. Social media isn’t David’s usual habitat so while he’s recorded messages solely for Instagram, like the one in this post, we're helping to run this account. In case you’re wondering, ‘we’ are Jonnie and Colin and we worked with David on A Life On Our Planet. So, as well as sharing the messages he’s recorded especially for this account we’ll also post some exclusive clips and behind the scenes content. Stay tuned.

21.01.2022 Blues V Reds, Yankees versus everyone, PC Vs Mac. How about a debate that matters? Like getting as much action and momentum on climate as possible? Do we work with politicians doing 'what they can' - or call out political bickering and inaction in the strongest way? In this episode Daniel Bleakley and Asher Coleman discuss their perspectives and the difference between them about:... - If it's fair or constructive to call Victorian Environment Minister Lily D'Ambrosio a climate denier. - If Twitter activism is productive. If Tesla is going to save, or at least substantially change, the world. - The benefit and utility of climate reduction and net zero targets by a certain date. It's fascinating, fractious, and dare we say even fun. Find it at https://www.climactic.com.au//degree-of-difference-pilot-/

21.01.2022 New episode of Growing Concern with Sean Marsh Design! --- "In this episode, I chat with an old friend, recent father and Qantas pilot, grounded indefinitely by COVID-19. Concerned for the future, Nick Thorne's on a new path, albeit a somewhat begrudging one, to become an atmospheric climate scientist. Added bonus: tune in to hear his passionate speech in front of the Bayside City Council late last year."

20.01.2022 Climactic publisher Mark is a fan of NYT's The Argument podcast, and IQ2 Debates - and is forever moaning Q+A never makes time for climate topics. So, Climactic has launched our own version. Jerry Springer - for climate. A space for argument and debate, from a place of mutual respect. So, maybe not Jerry Springer. Catch the pilot episode at: https://www.climactic.com.au//degree-of-difference-pilot-/... 17.01.2022 New Sustainable You Podcast episode! For more than 2 decades, Australian families watched as Sally Williams talked us through many different household products and brands. With a voice for radio and a face for TV, Sally was synonomous with the Brand Power tagline helping you buy better. So what made her say no more to promoting these brands? And who is this new character popping up on the socials these days? We chat to Sustainable Sally herself, about her decision to liv...e and work in line with her personal values, how Covid19 has been the great equaliser, and how she wants to help everyone be more informed, more conscious - and buy even better. https://www.climactic.com.au//episode-36-sustainable-sally/

07.01.2022 Parents, don't worry about your kids taking part in today's SS4C action. They're going to grow up to be just fine! Lucy Manne (pictured), 350.org.au CEO, talks with Climate Conversations about the global body that is taking on the world's fossil fuel industries around the world. America's Bill McKibben and some university mates created 350.org and Lucy was inspired to do something about our deteriorating climate when she heard the world's foremost climate activist speak in Me...lbourne in 2008. Lucy's journey to the top job with 350.org in Australia really began to take shape when, as a young girl, she joined the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.

07.01.2022 Go wrap your ears around A Rational Fear! "Net 0 emissions by 2050 is no longer the big ambition, it’s the status quo. A few countries will be going in hard to do even more. Leading, in other words. And when the world is doing this, where is that leaving Australia?... Australia is the Shore School of the world. Outwardly rich, entitled, antagonistic, and going around spitting on poor people and taking photos of its penis on things to win points with mates, Saudi Arabia, and the USA. Instead of doing the work: transitioning the economy to a carbon free future. We’re burning more gas to lower emissions? Gaslighting figuratively and literally."
