25.01.2022 It’s official. The Climate Change Bill has been formally presented and seconded. Thanks to everyone who’s joined and supported this journey so far. Next steps are still to be confirmed but looking forward to everyone’s ongoing support and enthusiasm, wherever it takes us. Following Scott Morrison's call to president elect Biden congratulating him on his election win, after Covid, what was the second most important thing that the VP Biden is "looking forward to working closely" with Australia on? 23.01.2022 An excellent analysis of the situation, but strangely no mention of the Climate Change Bill by reporter @mikeyslezac which is at a critical phase this week? Your article is remiss in not mentioning the huge groundswell of public support for Zali Steggall’s CCB and the fact that submissions to the public inquiry are actually open right now for another 6 days. Australian people are having to stand up and take the action required because our government won’t. Isn’t that an important part of any analysis on this issue ABC News?

This means YOU have your chance at last to speak direct to the Australian parliament by making a submission as to why you think the proposals in the CCB are important and should be adopted. Individuals, organisations and businesses can all submit. SUBMISSIONS CLOSE FRI 27 NOV. * Part of a sport team affected by the smoke from last year's bushfires? Get your club to make a submission talki...ng about the need to fix a target of Net Zero emissions so we can continue to do the things we love. * Run a business and concerned about the potential for trade tariffs being applied to nations not signed up to Net Zero by 2050? Make a submission. * Run a health practice which saw the first hand effects of poor air quality last summer? Make a joint submission pointing out the need to fix Net Zero by 2050 to avoid a health catastrophe. * Worried about the government's ongoing taxpayer investment in fossil fuels? Focus your submission on why we need an independent commission with teeth to monitor the process! * Angry at the loss of habitat, flora and fauna as a result of global warming? Make a submission pointing out that leading science tells us we will continue to lose more unless we limit warming under 2c and ideally 1.5c and that setting Net Zero by 2050 is a good first step. * Concerned that the government's lack of proactivity is walking us into a climate ambush?
