18.01.2022 Lithgow-Small Arms Rifle Club results 12th of August 2017 Last Saturday saw 18 shooters take to the 300 yard mound to contest the first stage of the A.S. Luchetti Trophy. Whilst relatively close in target rifle terms, the 300 yard target is also the tightest target we shoot on, and that combined with the gusty winds of the day meant high scores would be hard to come by. In Target Rifle A Grade John Baxter opened his account with a first stage possible of 50 with 6 V bullsey...es only to succumb to the wind in his second stage shooting 49 with 4 ;V bullseyes. Target Rifle B Grade had 3 contenders with Greg Davies narrowly got one up on Craig Holder to take the First stage 49 with 3 Vs to Holders 48 with 2 Vs. The second stage was even closer with Davies beating Holder by just two V bullseyes, 48 with 4 Vs to 48 with 2 Vs. F Class Standard A Grade had 6 shooters take to the mound with Roden Lohse taking the honours in the first stage 59 with 3 X centres. In the second stage Adrian Holder shot a superb 60 with 3 X centres to shoot the only other stage possible of the day. Sig Sovik won FSA on the day beating Roden Lohse by just one X centre 117 with 7 X centres to 117 with 6 X centres. 8 Shooters vied for the honours in F Class Standard B Grade but in the end Ray Berger dominated them all. Bergers first stage saw him shoot a very respectable 57 with 4 X centres and follow that up with a 58 with 3 X centres giving him a 115 with 7 for the day and in doing so beating most of A grade as well. Congratulations Ray Berger and Craig Holder who tied on 100 using the same amount of handicap counting out 4 others also on 100. Scores are: Craig Holder 48-2 48-2 96-4 100 Ray Berger 57-4 58-3 115-7 100 Greg Davies 49-3 48-4 97-7 100 Rob Ritchie 53-3 52-0 105-3 100 Adrian Holder 55-2 60-3 115-5 100 Roden Lohse 59-3 58-3 117-6 100 John Baxter 50-6 49-4 99-10 100 Jennifer Wild 56-3 58-3 114-6 97 Mark Green 44-1 45-3 89-4 96 Sig Sovik 58-4 59-3 117-7 96 Bernie Doohan 58-4 57-1 115-5 96 Dave Berger 53-2 43-0 96-2 95 Bruce McKenzie 52-1 54-1 106-2 91 Karen Holder 54-2 53-0 107-2 88 Ken Vassella 45-0 48-0 93-0 86 Mark Ritchie 51-1 53-2 104-3 84 Matt Ritchie 50-1 51-2 101-3 81 Lyndal McCarthy 45-0 51-0 96-0 76 See more

18.01.2022 Saturday 26th August 2017 saw 18 shooters turn up to contest the AS Luchetti and B grade Rangemaster trophy from the 600 yard mound. Although it was a fine day the breeze that was there made for some tricky shooting. John Baxter was the only contestant in the A grade target rifle division this week and really showed everyone how it was done by shooting a 50-5 in his first stage and a 50-2 in his second giving him 100-7 and also taking out the handicap on the day. In optical c...lass Allan Buckley had a great days shooting, he scored 50-5 in his first stage and followed that up with a 49-6 giving him a total of 99-11 on the day. In F Class Standard A grade Roden Lohse produced some fine shooting getting a 60-2 then followed it up with a 59-3 which saw him take out F Class Standard A grade with a total of 119-5. Dave Berger got off to a good start in F standard B grade shooting a 55-3 in the first stage but was beaten in the second stage by his brother Ray who shot a 55-0 to take out B grade with a total of 106-2. The F class open division was a all family affair with the Ferraras competing against each other. The best on the day was Harrison who shot 60-4 and followed that up with 59-2 giving him a total of 119-4. 17.01.2022 Here is LSARC's program for 2019/2020

15.01.2022 This week Saturday 14th September saw 14 keen shooters shooting from the 600yard mound in some very tricky conditions. Ben and Joshua Ferrara were once again duking it out in F class Open to see who could take the win for the day with Ben once again being victorious. In the first stage Ben scored 57-2 and in the second 58-5 giving Ben a score of 115-7. Joshua scored 57-1 in the first stage and 57-2 in the second giving him a score of 114-3. In F Standard A grade Adrian Holder... once again threw out a challenge to his wife Karen to see who could take the win for the day with Karen kicking his butt with a total of 115-6 over Adrians 109-2. Brett Bond who was shooting F-T/R this week had 2 excellent rounds shooting 59-5 in stage 1 and 60-6 in the 2nd giving him a total of 119-11 and the handicap win for the day. 15.01.2022 Perfect conditions brought the best out of the competitors at Lithgow on Saturday.

13.01.2022 This week was the first week in the Masters series for this shooting year and we saw some excellent shooting in this competition. Ben Ferrara and Joshua Ferrara slugged it out in F-Class Open with Ben taking a narrow lead in the first stage posting an 89-09 to Joshuas 88-06. In the second stage Ben shot another very good 89-06 meaning Joshua had to shoot a possible with 10 supercentres to beat him, and Ben certainly let Joshua know that is what he had to do. In the end Joshu...a certainly did get his possible but the supercentre count was a little short of the target required but still a very tidy 90-06. This meant Ben won the F-Class Open off rifle 178-15 to Joshuas 178-12. Meanwhile in F-Class Standard Karen Holder made her return after a long absence and took no time finding her old rhythm to take out the first stage shooting a very credible 88-06 and narrowly edging out Adam Eckford with 88-04. The second stage saw Karen post another 88-06 to be well and truly in contention for the F-Class Standard A grade Off Rifle win when Jeff Luck got down and shot a very impressive possible, 90-10 to snatch the stage win and the A Grade off rifle win with 177-17. This week we also welcomed Lyle Lynch back to the competition. After being side lined for a couple of months Lyle returned to competitive shooting posting an 82-01 and following that up with a very credible 87-06 in the second stage. Well done to all who participated to make what was a very enjoyable afternoon with some very good shooting on display. Full results for the week are as follows Ben Ferrara F Class Open 178.15 Joshua Ferrara F Class Open 178-12 Jeff Luck F Class Std A 177-17 Karen Holder F Class Std A 176-12 Sig Sovik F Class Std A 175-08 Adam Eckford F Class Std A 171-06 Lyle Lynch F Class Std A 169-07 Bernie Doohan F Class Std A 169-03 Jennifer Wild F Class Std B 169-08 Ray Berger F Class Std A 161-04 Dave Berger F Class Std B 154-06 Normally we would sort on handicap but the Masters Series is off rifle driven like an OPM but a consolation handicap prize is given on the day. Next Masters Series shoot will be held on the 11th of January 2020.

12.01.2022 On a blustery Saturday afternoon 14 brave shooters took to the 700yard mound.
