06.01.2022 With #Jobseeker and #JobKeeper schemes. It will be important for us to start the discussion of universal basic income (UBI). This will serve as safety net for every Australian. The problem is who will pay for UBI? I think a 2.5% contribution from everyone toward UBI will be a great way to start; and when someone loses their job or wants to study/change career they can revert to UBI. ... UBI could have reduced the number of people that were at Centrelink during the second week of March.
