24.01.2022 Great to see such positivity and business confidence in our LGA. Nice to see our former GM’s part in this acknowledged.

23.01.2022 Well done Newie!!! "Cities are at the forefront of responding to a changing climate and the systematic shocks that will be faced in the future... "To meet the challenges of a climate emergency, take advantage of the economic opportunities from meeting emissions targets and create a net zero emission City, it will take collective action, commitment and leadership from all sectors of the community."

22.01.2022 It looks like we are heading into a weekend of stinking hot Hawkesbury weather. Try to keep cool and remember to look out for the vulnerable in our community, especially those without air conditioning. The library at Windsor is a great place to seek refuge from the heat and extends its opening hours on extremely hot days. Harry and Zappa also ask that you make sure your pets have water and shade!

17.01.2022 Covid restrictions from midnight tonight.

16.01.2022 Peter Conroy is a good and decent man and was a great friend to the Hawkesbury. His loss is another demonstration of why political parties have no place in local councils. Please read the comments of the Deputy Mayor and senior councillor Paul Rasmussen below -

16.01.2022 The Liberal and Labor club of ‘exclusives’ should remember their Australian history when denying their community a fair go. By controlling committee agendas and sidelining experts they are sending a very clear message about how they value the community’s contribution to council. The idea that allowing individuals to address select councillors compensates for a functioning advisory committee composed of experts is utterly laughable. ... The effectiveness of this was clearly demonstrated at last night’s meeting as any public dissent was rudely dismissed as a misinformed scare campaign.

15.01.2022 Yesterday I had these few lines inked into my arm as a permanent reminder of the power of community, the importance of standing up for what is right, and in recognition of unbreakable bonds of friendship forged during our long fight to protect Hawkesbury’s heritage and identity. We may not have stopped the NSW Government riding rough-shod over our town, but the wonderful community created will endure. Without a doubt, being part of this is the best thing I have ever done. (thanks to Tilly at Feel the Steel Tattoo <3)

15.01.2022 Food for thought from Clr Wheeler.

11.01.2022 Gae Kelly has been a stalwart of the Windsor business community and a highly respected member of Windsor Business Group for decades. She wants some answers -

08.01.2022 It was great to attend last night’s Local Business Awards with the Mayor of Hawkesbury and Deputy Mayor of Hawkesbury City. This year has been a hugely difficult year for many small businesses, so celebrating the achievements and resilience of those in our local community was extra special. Congratulations to all winners!

07.01.2022 Today I feel more heartbroken than yesterday. I still can't believe our General Manager has gone. People quite rightly are demanding answers, apart from the loss of a wonderful leader this arch bastardry is going to cost our ratepayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. Meanwhile those responsible remain silent behind the coward's cloak of confidentiality, refusing to answer and trying to get blood out of the carpet.

06.01.2022 The weather may be overcast, but Windsor is still shining.

04.01.2022 With the sudden and unexplained departure of the General Manager it is now very apparent council is under pressure from powerful outside influences and vested interests. I have great faith in our council, our staff and the utmost respect for the role of local councillors. However we know in recent times large lots of Hawkesbury rural lands west of the river have been purchased by foreign interests and others with a view to development, even though development is not permitted.... Council is currently reviewing all its major planning documents and planning staff are being placed under immense pressure. The planning documents being reviewed by staff will determine what sort of development is permissible in the Hawkesbury, and where. One of my election commitments was to protect the Hawkesbury from inappropriate development, especially west of the river and on our precious agricultural lands. If, in the next few months, anything happens to the employment of our planning staff or other senior staff then the community should ask who controls their council. I could get in trouble for posting this but the community is my tribe. I represent them and nobody else. This is the only reason for this post.

04.01.2022 See this bloke? He voted against you having this cycle way. But he'll take credit for it. There's a word for this. I just can't think of it... Anyway we who did vote for it are really happy it's underway!

02.01.2022 Will restricting advisory committee discussion to only those items specified by council result in important issues being overlooked? Let’s hope not.

02.01.2022 Can’t deny it’s all about development if Liberals are quitting because of it. Good on them for taking a principled stand for their community.
