22.01.2022 Today marks World Homeless Day, an annual event held to raise awareness about people who may be experiencing homelessness and draw attention to their local needs. The Federal Government investing $326.1 million in Queensland for housing and homelessness through the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement.

13.01.2022 Happy #agdayau! This National Agriculture Day, I want to give a big shout out to our Australian farmers - they’re amazing. They’ve been through a lot over the past few years but despite the disappointments they just keep getting on with the job, growing food and fibre and helping Australian recover from this global #COVID19 pandemic. Thank you to all our farmers for everything you’ve done during these difficult times. Throwback to 2018 when Prime Minister Scott Morrison (Sc...oMo) visited local strawberry farmer Laura Hendrickson following the disturbing cases of food tampering. It’s so good to see the industry overcome that challenge and now COVID-19. At every chance and opportunity I encourage you to support our Aussie farmers by buying Aussie grown.

It was great to have the Prime Minister Scott Morrison (ScoMo) in town to visit Holmwood Highgate Aust Pty Ltd in Loganholme which is looking to put on 6 more apprentices thanks to our 50% apprentice wage subsidy. They also received a $1 million SICP grant to help them boost their defence capability, supporting Defence to keep Australians safe and creating local jobs in the process.... 04.01.2022 #COMMUNITY Congratulations to the Twin Rivers Community Mallet Sport Club on the opening of their beautiful new court at Bedford Park yesterday. It was great that all three levels of govt could come together with funding. Really happy that the Federal Govt could contribute $30k to this fantastic local club.

03.01.2022 Good news. Gary and Wendy are coming home! Queensland CHO Jeannette Young has confirmed today the decision to allow the couple to quarantine at home after an overnight assessment. It still boggles my mind they were refused the exemption in the first place but so thankful they got there in the end.
