25.01.2022 Finished this yesterday. My client broke her leg on the original ramp as it was too steep and slippery when wet. I extended it to double the length, and therefore a much gentler gradient and extended the handrails. No longer the ramp of death.

23.01.2022 It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I've had no shortage of things to do. Here are some repairs I've done lately, and a few shots to show that I also do pools, lawns and gardens. Diversity is the key!

16.01.2022 Bit of artsy stuff I do in my spare time. These are done on slices of mahogany or other timber with a pyrography (wood burning) tool. I'm slowly putting together a large collection of these and will continue to post photos as I go. Feel free to ask about purchasing any if they catch your eye.

15.01.2022 Little tiny baby shed I built to house a backup generator. Aaaawwwww....

14.01.2022 Re-floored this horse float on the weekend. The spacings between the bearers were way too big for a surface that has to carry several hundred kilos of animal, so I welded 2 more runs in before re-sheeting the whole thing. Rubber matting will be added by the owner for grip and extra water-proofing.

13.01.2022 Finished a small deck and a ramp at a property in Johnston today. Making the place wheelchair friendly for my client.

09.01.2022 Finally got around to posting this. I did some alterations on a bedroom for some mates of mine before Christmas last year, getting it ready for the arrival of a new addition to the family.

08.01.2022 The story behind the cover photo. Built this for my good friends Luke and Iesha and their kids. Most fun I've had at work to date. Glad they finally got a bit of rain on the lawn for the final shot :)

05.01.2022 Restoring people's old relics may not be particularly lucrative, but it's extremely satisfying nevertheless. This little cupboard is made of silky oak, a beautiful timber variety, and was just rotting away in the bowels of a sea-container on the customer's block.

03.01.2022 Did a fairly major renovation on a house in Johnston recently. The client is an organisation that provides housing and care for people with disabilities. I had to make the main bathroom more accessible and wheelchair friendly, including cutting a second doorway in through the office room alcove into the bathroom, building a double sliding door system to turn the current living room into a bedroom and give privacy, removing the bathroom vanity unit and widening the toilet doorway to provide more room and accessibility, and building in a folding door for privacy in the bathroom. My photography is pretty bad, but hopefully you get the drift.

02.01.2022 Now that most of the dust has settled from cyclone Marcus, if youve suffered any minor damage to your property that isnt worth bothering with a tedious insurance claim over, get in touch and Ill get you fixed up. My prices are always low, and Im not looking to make squillions of dollars off the back of your hardship. 01.01.2022 Fixed it. The whole thing was rotten to the core, including the posts (timber posts in Darwin??). I replaced them with steel and lined the inside of the new timbers with plastic to give them extra protection from the wet. Small job but a bloody mission in this buildup heat.
