17.01.2022 Ok So I finally got the chance to put the bore pump down the 2nd hole that Nick from CCd or Coal City Drilling did for me at the scout camp. Yu might remember the video posted earlier that we did when he was drilling it. I wanted to show you what I did to save a few bucks and made the system totally of the grid and im as tight as fishes bottom so I like to save a dollar where I can secondly there was no power out the back so I have to find an easy way to set it up. This total... set up was around $1000 dollars so here’s my list for final assembly 1. 2 x Solar panels $100.00 Ea. 2. Old satellite pole and mount maybe $30 buck from chances are in Mackay (or pinch your neighbours old one ) 3. 3 x Bags of rapid set $30.00 4. 2 x 30mtr 15amp power leads on for each supply positive and Negative (Silver tinned wire 16mm is over 4.50 a mtr not going there) $60.00 ea 5. 2 x packets of self-drilling screws to screw everything together. 6. 2 x Batteries (option on size depends how long you want to pump outside of the time the sun is out) Me I went for small car batteries $200.00 7. Solar Regulator Ebay $20.00 8. 2 x packets of connectors and joiners $30.00 9. 6 x length of 3mm 1800 long aluminium angle $120.00 10. Bore pump ebay $225.00 11. Lastly 5 or 6 mtr of 6mm cable red and black $30.00 So let’s add it all up 200.00 30.00 30.00 120.00 40.00 200.00 20.00 30.00 120.00 225.00 30.00 Total $1040.00 So that roughly it with a little bit of hard yakka you can assemble it yourself and walk away pumping 1000 litres in 40 mins in two 10 hour day fill 20000 litre tank from the sun for free. Not long to get payback as far as buying water goes any way I have included a video of the setup plus I’m trailing a wind generator alternative still in testing at the moment look out for the results Cheers See more
