LANGUAGE: talk to the plants build your vocabulary, follow instructions COGNITION (thinking): watch the magic of a small seed sprout or a flower blossom, a petal or leaf fall and the cycle of rejuvenation. Extend functional play or pretend skills by understanding what an object is purposefully used for, or becoming the gardener or farmer in role play. Work on colour recognition, counting SENSORY: get messy in the dirt, water play and get all feely with the different textures of leaves, flowers, thorns, mulch, branches & more. Try exploring natural scents of herbs and flowers. Listen to the leaves blow in the wind.
