05.01.2022 History... It can be presumed that these men are an intake for WW1. What an ordeal ... Post card from Arthur. "This is where we are camped, now under the grand stand, & it is a far better place than at Blackboy Hill. It is all fitted out with electric lights & tables: but I can't say that the other companies are quartered like we are. Some are in the dog & poultry show and you know what that means! They, the dogs, growled a lot when they went there, and of course we don't ( clap? ) them." Arthur.
