25.01.2022 THEFT OF MOBILE PHONE Police have released an image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries into the theft of a mobile phone. The victim advertised her new i-Phone on Facebook Marketplace and organised for the unknown male purchaser to attend her house to pick it up around 3:10pm on the 27th of October. ... The victim handed the phone to the man, who then ran from the house without paying. He was last seen running north on Chandler Road in Noble Park. 24.01.2022 FLIPPING BAD JOYRIDE Late night antics took a very wrong turn for a young driver after he flipped his car on the footy oval in Beaconsfield. The utility ended up on its roof in the middle of the oval on Holm Park Road and was discovered unoccupied early Saturday morning.... Police have spoken to the 18-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger and are making further enquiries.

22.01.2022 DRUG TRAFFICKING BUST IN OFFICER Police today arrested a 28-year-old man and seized a significant quantity of drugs and weapons from an address in Officer. The warrant was executed at the Pink Hill Boulevard property around 6am. ... Members from the Divisional Response Unit seized a number of items including: Illegal drugs believed to be methylamphetamine, ecstasy and MDMA A quantity of cash Drug paraphernalia Gel blaster firearms Shotgun ammunition An Officer man was arrested at the scene and conveyed to the Dandenong Police Station for interview. He is expected to be charged later this morning.

21.01.2022 SLEEPY BANDIT An Endeavour Hills man is probably wishing he was dreaming after being discovered fast asleep inside a stolen car. Police were notified after a resident found the man snoozing behind the wheel with the music blaring and ignition still running on Chantelle Drive around 8am yesterday.... Narre Warren uniform members attempted to rouse the man who obviously did not appreciate being woken from his slumber. The 27-year-old was arrested after a brief scuffle and charged with a string of offences, including theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle, possess a drug of dependence, resist police, possess a controlled weapon, fail to display P plates and commit an indictable offence whilst on bail. He was remanded in custody to appear at Dandenong Magistrates Court today. Great work by the Narre Warren members and the local resident who contacted police.

18.01.2022 DRUGS AND AMMO SEIZED Police arrested a 34-year-old man and seized a significant amount of drugs as part of a firearms investigation. Members from the Divisional Response Unit executed two search warrants at Vivien Street in Dandenong and Heatherton Road in Endeavour Hills just before 6am on Wednesday.... Officers seized illicit drugs, believed to be MDMA and cocaine, and firearms ammunition. A Dandenong man was arrested at the scene and conveyed to the Springvale Police Station for interview. He was charged with trafficking a drug of dependence and firearms offences and was remanded in custody to appear at Dandenong Magistrates Court.

Despite all events being held remotely, the community centre has still been able to participate in the festivities by having children create a personalised handmade spoon that culturally represents who they are, to add to the colourful ‘Spoonville’ Garden. ... Complete with its own mini Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island flags, a scar tree and marquees, the Gathering Place’s Spoonville community has brightened up the neighbourhood and ensured that everyone has had an opportunity to participate in NAIDOC Week 2020. 12.01.2022 DAD'S CAR IMPOUNDED It’s going to take a lot of chores to get out of this one. A hoon learner driver had his dad’s car impounded after he was caught doing 160km/h in an 80km/h zone last night.... The Police Airwing was patrolling known areas of hoon driving in Dandenong South when it spotted the Ford Falcon travelling at excessive speed and doing multiple burnouts on Frankston-Dandenong Road around 8:30pm. Dandenong Highway Patrol members intercepted the vehicle a short time later on Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road. The 21-year-old Cranbourne North man had to break the news to dad that he can have his car back in 30 days at a cost of $1008. He will be charged on summons with improper use of a motor vehicle, driving in excess of the speed limit, learner driver unaccompanied, failing to display L plates and using an unroadworthy motor vehicle. 12.01.2022 CLOSE CALL LEADS TO IMPOUND Officers from the Frontline Tactical Unit were out patrolling on Wednesday night when they came across an illegal hoon gathering on Remington Drive in Dandenong South. There were over fifty cars conducting burn outs, drifting and other dangerous driving in the heavy rain. As police got close to the cars they started to scatter almost hitting the police vehicle. ... Police were able to identify the registration of a silver coloured Holden Commodore that conducted a burnout and failed to stop when directed. Officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle a short time later where the male driver had his vehicle impounded at a cost of $938 and he will receive a summons to attend court and explain his actions to a Magistrate.

09.01.2022 Drug driver caught at school pickup!! This afternoon, Cardinia Highway Patrol were monitoring a school zone when they spotted a red Holden Ute outside Officer Secondary College. Police intercepted the ute as it was not displaying number plates. Officers spoke to a 54 year old male from Cranbourne. The male was required to undergo a roadside drug test which returned a positive result to an illicit substance. ... This was not the males first rodeo and will be required to attend court in relation to drug driving. 09.01.2022 86KMH OVER THE SPEED LIMIT Early this morning the Greater Dandenong Highway patrol detected a vehicle travelling at 166KMH in an 80KMH zone. Sometimes it pays not to be the fastest one in a drag race. It also pays not to drag race at all, especially when we are there and have our laser pointed directly at you!... Another first date unfortunately not with a new partner, but a magistrate this time. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days costing $1038. The driver will be charged for being 86KMH over the posted speed limit and driving at a dangerous speed. The pair in vehicle ended the night with an unplanned walk home.

08.01.2022 Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a woman following an incident in Narre Warren South on Monday. Investigators are yet to determine the exact circumstances but are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident. At 3:51 PM Casey Highway Patrol detected a Lexus travelling at 110 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on the South Gippsland Highway in Hampton Park. The vehicle was intercepted and a 21-year-old male from Hampton Park was issued an infringement notice for excessive speed - that's a $454 fine and a three month loss of l...icence in 28 days. ____________________________________________________________ At 8:19 PM Casey Highway Patrol detected a Mazda travelling at 109 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Ballarto Road Clyde. 02.01.2022 It doesn’t pay to tell porkies to the police!! On Friday 13th November 2020, Cardinia Highway Patrol intercepted a white Holden Commodore in Pakenham. Police spoke to a 20 year old male from Clyde North. The male provided his details as he couldn’t produce his licence. Police checked the details provided and it appeared the male was telling porkies. ... Further enquires revealed the male had given his brothers details. A licence check revealed the male had a suspended Probationary drivers licence due to accumulating too many demerits points. The males vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $895. 02.01.2022 On Tuesday the 1st of December at 3:40pm in Lancaster Avenue, Narre Warren a truck collided with a tree as it was trying to squeeze past oncoming traffic. The rear of the truck was ripped off the tray and collided with another vehicle which was travelling in the other direction. The male truck driver stopped to have a look at the damage, then got back in the truck and drove off. Police are seeking public assistance to identify the owner of the trucks pod as it is no longer belongs to the company whose logo is on it. We are seeking to identify the male driver who left the accident scene.
