25.01.2022 Our efforts working with Water Police, SES and Ambulance Victoria got us the front cover of the Bayside News Chelsea, Mordialloc & Mentone News paper. Take a moment to consider what would you do if your boat or jetski capsized? Are you wearing your life jacket? Do you know how to flip a jetski back? Do you have an EPIRB and can you get to it easily? #safetybyallmeans

22.01.2022 We all need to look after everyone, including the dogs. #safetybyallmeans

21.01.2022 This afternoon we assisted Victoria Police to rescue two jetski riders who capsized their ski and were unable to right it. We took them aboard and treated them for hypothermia while we towed their jetski back to the boat ramp. Luckily they were wearing their life jackets and were well prepared. #safetybyallmeans

20.01.2022 Calm end to a hot and windy day with a lot of people enjoying their boats. One tow back in from north of the river. Remember to check your batteries and get fresh fuel. #safetybyallmeans

20.01.2022 Great night to be on the water and a lot of people out making the most of it. We were called out to assist this flybridge with engine troubles. She cast a nice silhouette as the sun set. After retiring the flybridge safely we responded to a second boat requiring a Juno start which we then followed back in to ensure they got back safely. If you are in trouble on the water call 000 or radio vhf 16.

19.01.2022 More improvements underway at the ramp.

18.01.2022 What a great day to be on the water. Sadly this poor guy had electrical issues and ended up on the sandbar. Thanks to Bonbeach Life Saving Club Inc. for helping paddle a line through the shallow water to the boat for us. Know the local conditions and if you get into trouble call 000. #WeWorkAsOne #safetybyallmeans

17.01.2022 This contrast shows how powerful the bay can be and how the weather can turn so quickly. 9:15am - first photo, nice and calm. The calm before the storm? 12:30 - towing in a boat that needed some assistance. Seas were starting to build... After lunch - we were too busy helping other boaters and holding onto things in the boat to take any photos of the rough conditions. Know the weather forecast before you go out and listen to the weather updates on channel 16. #safetybyallmeans

16.01.2022 Thankyou for your kind words of appreciation jacquie jones

16.01.2022 FUN RUN CANCELLED: Sadly with all the unknowns regarding the potential covid cases in nearby suburbs it was decided to cancel the 2021 event.

12.01.2022 Friday morning we responded to a vessel with engine issues. Towed them in safely. Remember to get fresh fuel and check your engine is in working order before you head out. #safetybyallmeans

08.01.2022 The almost perfect weather and bay conditions created a huge turnout of boaters at Patterson river today. We helped one get home safely. Make sure your fuel is good and batteries charged before heading out. #safetybyallmeans

08.01.2022 An update on boating from our friends at Better Boating Vic

08.01.2022 With so much rain the last few days there is an amazing line where the mouth of our Patterson River meets the Bay. The brown silt and washed down contrasts against the bay. The photo's don't really do it justice. Know the local conditions and be safe. #safetybyallmeans

07.01.2022 Did you know that we are also part of the CFA (Country Fire Authority) and have a fire pump onboard? Here we are running through some drills with it. #safetybyallmeans

06.01.2022 During these times keeping up community moral is also part of the job. When we got the call we wanted to be involved.

06.01.2022 Towed a boat back into Mordialloc creek that had engine troubles. We tried to jump start him but that didn’t work so we towed him in. Call 000 if you also want us to help you out.

05.01.2022 Maritime Safety Victoria have installed new webcams at Patterson River / Launching Way boat ramp which will be fantastic for the boating community. Bookmark this link for those afternoons you wish you were boating: https://www.boating.vic.gov.au/ramps/a157F000001P6R4QAK And remember, make sure that your boat is seaworthy before you get to the ramp.... #safetybyallmeans

04.01.2022 Dredging Works underway at Patterson River Navigate with caution and remember which side to pass the dredge - diamonds by day, and green lights by night.

03.01.2022 We were stopped in the bay when an inquisitive pod popped over to say hello. Remember do not approach wildlife in the bay, but if they come to you, stay still until they leave so you don't injure them with your boat. #safetybyallmeans #weworkasone
