18.01.2022 Two very happy Coastals! Congrats to Duncan Rankine taking out 1st in Vetrans piping, and John Christensen taking out 1st in B grade snare drumming, today at the Swanbourne Solos hosted by Scotch College. Well done to the Scotch College team for a well run and attended competition.
16.01.2022 Swan Valley Competition tomorrow (Sunday) Come for a nice drive to the Swan Valley and see pipe bands compete at Elmars, 8731 West Swan Road, Henley Brook. Starts at noon with presentations at 1:30pm.
16.01.2022 Many people wont understand the importance of this video, and what it represents. Following a horrific accident our piper Ian lost his leg among other major injuries and has now worked with tenacity, grit and determination to get back marching with the band. A true testament to a bandsman. Marching in was symbolic as the band is and always will be behind you mate! Very proud pipe major!

15.01.2022 Coastals are welcoming both new members and guest players to join our ranks for the upcoming Australian Championships. If youre looking for an alternative, or the experience of playing with another band as a guest player, Coastals would welcome you to our team. The required commitment is flexible (life is busy sometimes, and guest players home band will always come first!), all we ask is you approach the team and the music with a positive attitude, and share our culture of ...mutual respect. Guest players to date have enjoyed their time with the band and made valuable friendships while playing good tunes to the best of our collective ability. Dont just take our word for it, currently our band has players from other local bands including: the pipe major of the City of Rockingham Pipe Band, and the Pipe Cpl of Perth Highland Pipe Band. Interstate and international players that have joined the band have included players from SA NSW, QLD, New Zealand Red Hackle and Auckland and Districts Pipe bands. Our philosophy is that music should be enjoyable and competitions help provide that enjoyment when we play the best we can, but at the end of the day this is a hobby, and its not playing for sheepstations! Decision making in our band is by consensus, and definitely not a top down approach, all members have an equal voice. Financial commitment: Should you wish to be a financial member of the band, and be accepted as a playing member, all equipment will be provided, including uniforms, reeds, pipe bags etc all youll need to pay for are your shoes. 08.01.2022 Coastals had a great day playing at the Swan Valley Highland Games, held at Elmars. Even picking up a prize in Grade 3! Built quite a thirst up on a hot day, the bagpipes maintained our barrel :)

06.01.2022 REMEMBERING JUNE CORCORAN Junes funeral service is on Monday, 23 September, commencing at 9:45am at the West Chapel, Fremantle Cemetery, corner Carrington & L...each Hwy. The family has requested a guard of honour comprising members of the pipe band community, preferably in uniform, to show the impact June has had as a tutor, Pipe Major, Association Life Member and friend. Please assemble at Samson Pavilion (main gate) at 9:45am to take our place as a Pipe Bands WA group.
