22.01.2022 So, I received this lovely certificate last week. Although initially mortified to be referred to in the accompanying letter as a 'Senior' Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (isn't 'senior' always 20 years older than you are?! ), it's also given me an opportunity to reflect. Our industry has seen so many changes over this time, and our business continues to evolve and adapt. I'm so proud of what we've achieved, and so excited for the future. Mainly, I feel grate...ful to our wonderful clients who have put their trust in us to help guide them in their financial decisions. Especially those who have been with me for virtually that entire time, that's a pretty special thing I've been blessed to have worked with some amazing clients, as well as some incredible colleagues and mentors over these years. An especially big shout out to my good friend, Richard, who gave me a start as a fresh faced new graduate, with no experience to speak of! I can't say I ever anticipated being a 'senior' anything 25 years ago, but I'm glad I landed where I did. 22.01.2022 There's been some interesting research coming through in relation to covid and the effects on our finances. Like much of what we see, there seems to be a great divide - some who's situation has improved significantly for various reasons, others who have been hit hard. We always see these things through our own filter of experience & our own values, don't we? One consistent in the people we speak to though (and the influx of new queries and clients!) is that there seems to be ...a lot more people being mindful about their money choices, and not taking things for granted. As we head down the final straight of 2020, it's definitely an ideal time to start thinking about what we've done with the cards we were dealt and what sort of plan we could have for 2021. #coastalwealthdirections #financialplanning #whatayear2020 #thinkingahead #bringon2021
