24.01.2022 Coast FM is very proud to Congratulate Meroli and Peter Wicks on their TICMA Awards presented by Ian Taylor on Saturday 2nd November at the MRA Hall. Their 20 years of presenting Country Music and giving local artisits the opportunity to be heard on the Coast was recognised and their awards were well deserved. Thank you Meroli and Peter, keep it going another 20 years, love you guys !!



23.01.2022 LIFE MEBERSHIP AWARDED It was a great honour to present Mal Metcalf with Life Membership at the recent AGM of Coast FM. Mal started with Coast FM in 1994 on the Afternoon Show and then moved into "Drive" fulltime then in 1996 he began a program called "Hit Mix" on Thursday's and bulilt a team of young people from year 10 and Hellyer College answering phones and sending cheerios. In that same year he moved into doing night time programs including Sunday Night with "Reality Roc...k" a christian music request program. Mal was presenting the "drive " time show and left for NSW in 2001. Mal returned to the station in 2010 and was offered the drive time show again. For a period of time he also assisted Coast FM with Sponsorship sales and also commenced the afternoon "Coastline show" in 2012. In 2013 with Management change Mal was elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Governance of Coast FM and was appointed Co-Ordinator of the running of Coast FM. Over the past few years Mal has developed a variety of different shows and Music like Time Warp amd the Retro 80's and Dynamic 90's. Congratulations Mal for your committment to Coast FM. See more

22.01.2022 "Bunty Studio" Studio 2 has been officially named Bunty Studio after David Bunt who has put timeless hours into Coast FM in the running of it and presenting the morning show 6:00 am - 9:00 am, Monday's , Tuesday's and Wednesdays and Saturday Night Juke Box 6pm - 12pm. 05.01.2022 Community Announcement The Wilmot Country Market will be held on Saturday the 5th September at the Wilmot Hall starting at 8.00am and finishing at 1.30pm. Our stall holders, organizers and the community would like to extend a warm invitation to all to come and check out our wonderful produce, hand crafts, plants, bric-a-brac, tools, hot food and much more. 04.01.2022 ORGANISATION: JUST CATS Just Cats now have a shelter at the old RSPCA in Mowbray, as well as their Longford Shelter. Just Cats will take on surrender cats, or lost cats. You can also take lost cats or Surrender cats to the Burnie and Wynyard Vets, who will hold them, then pass them on to Just Cats. They have lots of beautiful cats for adoption, also monetary donations or cat food would be greatly appreciated... The library was handmade by a local gentleman and the library aims to foster community engagement and access to reading, visual and audio material. The Library contains books, dvds, cds, jigsaws and magazines. People can access the library anytime and do not have to register.
