25.01.2022 DOWLING RURAL CONTRACTING Another great local Riverina business for your Sunday. Kat and Scott Dowling from Dowling Rural Contracting were keen for something that could bring out their amazing logo. Colour scheme was key to this, with a royal/midnight blue letting the embroidery take centre stage. ... Fencing. Not the kind in the white suits with the swords , but the much more laborious one. If you've never done it, you could be forgiven for thinking you just slap up a few posts and Bob's your uncle. If only. Fencing is a job a lot of farmers put off purely due to the excessive time cost in doing it right. But it's a vital one if you want to protect your property. Whether it's keeping your money makers; the stock, in the boundary, or it's keeping the pests out. A good fence is a good investment. 25.01.2022 OOOOHHHH YEAH Nothing beats a classic style baseball cap. It's comfortable. It's unisex. It's timeless. It doesn't need much. A strong symbol to catch people's attention and get them wanting one. Steve from I am Enough Coaching knows his brand well. He wanted the logo to standalone on the front, with the business name on the back. ... These have been a hit, as Steve got them in navy and dusky pink, deliberately and wisely looking for apparel that is a big hit in his target demographic. 25.01.2022 NO SEASON? NO WORRIES! Campbells Creek Football Netball Club has not taken the field this year in football or netball. They have been living in lockdown. Yet they have had 3 separate beanie orders, and now scarves to compliment them. HOW? ... Good looking apparel my good friends. We got the opportunity to work once again with club legend, the lovely Marg and were able to create scarves to seamlessly match their already loved beanies Campbell's Creek sold supporter packs including a beanie and water bottle to players and supporters as a way to keep something coming in over winter, and keep the Creek community together in a tough time. Whilst some clubs may see this season as a full shutdown, we've loved the Maggies showing the initiative to make sure their supporters band together. To sell out repeatedly when there hasn't been a game played? That's pretty bloody impressive. To all our customers, family and friends down in Victoria we're thinking of you in these strange times. 24.01.2022 TOUCH UNIFORMS - THE DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS OF TOUCH FOOTBALLERS 1. The school kid: Mum and Dad are throwing them into every sport to see what sticks. All shapes and sizes in the younger age group but they really funnel into only gun players in high school when the self awareness comes to many people that if you're not quick, your professional touch career will be short. 2. The 20-33 year old player: Two distinct sub groups here. The absolute jets that still hold aspirat...ions of being the next Alicia Quirk, and the social bunch that turns up for a toss and giggle with the main outcome being a few Mick Malthouse's after the game. 3. 33-45 years old: Another two distinct sub-groups here. The 'I've still got it' operators who think Father Time is an absolute coward and are keen to prove him wrong. And the dads and mums who have noticed a little bit of pudge starting to appear and coerce their mates to get out on the field for 'fun', thinly veiling their ulterior motive. 4. 45+ years: The f@#k it crew. Everything is going against them, including their hamstrings, but they don't give a damn, their speedo might show that they're starting to be limited to high range of second gear at best, but that doesn't worry them. They love getting out for a trundle with their mates and good on them! The lads we done these up for are a bit of 2 and 3 from the reports we've got. The man behind the Cronulla design and accompanying shorts, is certainly number 3 subgroup A we reckon. The team sponsor is Aussie Strength , not only Australian owned, but veteran owned company that sells gym equipment. If you're a gym owner, straight up there's two pretty good reasons why you should use them. 24.01.2022 ZOOM IN The beauty of this apparel we did up for Hilton Concreting is best seen up close! At first glance it's a brilliant colour scheme. The logo is easily noticeable and the phone number and Facebook handle are clearly prominent on the back. ... But it's when you get closer that you see it. We made a tessellating pattern with the 'H' logo which looks bloody awesome on the blue. And it's unique to the Hilton brand! We had to get this one just right with the transparency. Not enough and it would've been overpowering. But too much and it would've been unnoticeable. It's one of our favourite designs for the year. A large credit must go to Britters who sat in on this project and offered some ideas that have come up tops. We want you to be proud of the business you've built. There's no point trying to blend in as a business. Stand out and build brand awareness! Concreting needs? You only have to looks for some of the best looking apparel in Aus !

23.01.2022 THE WORLD GAME Wollondilly Soldier's Football Club Wollondilly Soldiers Football Club play out of Goulburn NSW in the Southern Tablelands Football Association. The Soldier's don't seem to have let Covid affect them, sitting comfortably in second position on the ladder, definitely looking at a push for finals. ... The 'Soldier's' part of the moniker is the team's major sponsor the Goulburn Soldiers Club , somewhere Cob is actually pretty familiar with having spent some time in Goulburn in a previous job. He reckons the Soldier's Club is a winner, but steer well clear of Flamingo's We loved putting our take on this colour scheme. Naturally you would think we thought of Australia first but in actual fact the first thing that came to mind for us was Norwich City FC from Premier League football (past tense ) in England. Adding a bit of black has made these an absolute hit. Thanks to Wollondilly for getting onto us. The beanies look absolutely amazing and they were awesome to work with! Good luck in finals !! 20.01.2022 CRICKET BEANIES? BUT IT'S A SUMMER SPORT? We hear you ask, with an incredulous look on your face. Cricket players don't just stop existing during the winter. For those who take their cricket seriously, they do a decent preseason throughout winter. Cricket beanies are a brilliant way to keep the comradery and team spirit going through those long cold months and still feel a part of a community. ... Cob loves his cricket (we're certainly not saying he excels at it though ). Lazy Saturday arvos sweating it out to earn a ice cold beverage after the game. Driving around to country towns and experiencing different areas around the region (and pubs). Whether you're slapping one through covers or trying to hit that ever lucrative top of off-stump, cricket is a sport that combines critical thinking, planning, as well as mental and physical attrition that always ends up with a few late summer nights. Centrals Cricket Club, Orange have been playing the Gentleman's game since 1973. They're big on mateship, comradery and hard work. 17.01.2022 YOU'RE NEVER TO OLD TO HAVE A RUN AROUND Never forget that. Although you might get a bit too long in the tooth for what the young kids call the 'premier competitions', there's always a team for the old boys and girls to relive their glory days. "But why would anyone want to do that?"... Well, lets take the Southern Rough Riders as a prime example. The boys wouldn't mind me saying their 'professional sport careers' are in the rearview mirror ... I actually think they'd celebrate it A large majority of people retire from sport because their old bodies can't keep up with the younger generation, they take much longer to recover, and some struggle to juggle sport with increasing family commitment. But just because our bodies age, it doesn't just mean our minds just naturally do. Nor should they. Noone really outgrows the sense of community in a team. Or having a beer after sport to debrief and tell stories. Nor should they. Southern Rough Riders Rugby Team only play a handful of games a year to accommodate the aging bodies. They get players from all over Southern NSW to play in competitions for blokes in the next phase of their life ... Footy purely for enjoyment. This includes the 'water runners' hydrating the lads onfield with a roulette system of rum, pina colada, port or water, depending on which drencher they get. We had the opportunity to have a good chat to the man behind the team Dave Page and it was inspiring to hear how the Roughies games were something that the lads marked out in the calendar every year. The stories about the positive effect on some of the boys mental health; Getting them back into a community and out of their heads, is the reason we just love sport so much. People give up sport for so many reasons... But it's actually one of the best things for physical and mental health and should be prioritised as part of a healthy life. If you're ever feeling isolated and alone, join your local community team and buy in to it. It doesn't matter about your skill level, all that matters is if you enjoy it. If you enjoy rugby but you feel like you're too old ... Give Pagey and the Southern Rough Riders a buzz! See more

16.01.2022 VICTORIAN COLLEGE Everything is currently looking towards a wet spring on the Eastern Seaboard. That's a win for two people. Farmers (about time they had a win), and beanie wearers. That means a bit of extra wear for the staff and students of Yarrawonga College P-12 . This was another collaboration with the amazing Judds Yarrawonga and yet another school who is going to benefit from apparel their students actually want to wear. ... The college used our very popular Zig Zag design to add that retro touch and the colour scheme goes well with the students uniforms. These keepsakes are a good reminder for the Year 12's of the last year of their schooling, and the rest of the staff and students will get plenty of seasons out of these. 15.01.2022 TURNING YOUR WORK SINGLETS INTO TOUCH SINGLETS (check out the shorts) We've had a couple of tradie's whose Cobrapparel singlets have been that much of a hit that they've had requests to have numbers applied to be used for touch. This is perfect. Why? Well firstly and most importantly, it means the design is what Bruce McAvaney would call 'delicious'. It means you've nailed it. ... Secondly, it helps brand continuity. The mental link is made as soon as people see these singlets as they're the same ones they've seen at the gym, around the lake, at the pub or at their local sports club training. 15.01.2022 HAVE YOU TAKEN YOUR CAR TO WADE AND MEL YET?? Seriously, we all know good mechanics are hard to find. There are plenty of horror stories about, and as your car is a pretty big investment, you should make sure it's looked after accordingly. 15.01.2022 CAPS ARE ON We get asked so much for caps. Naturally because our world beating beanies are everywhere, people are interested in something for the other 3 seasons (4 for some). Yep. We do. We've just had so many beanie orders for 2020 we tried to get everyone featured (we will get to those we've left for now as well, don't worry).... We know how much everyone loves a good new-fashioned A-Frame. Take the team at Hahn Constructions for example. They got these mid-winter to make sure they were ready to go for spring. Because their awesome logo has shadowing we thought the best way to bring it out would be with a 3D effect. And we think you'd agree that paired with a charcoal background the logo couldn't pop any better. We also included the phone number on the back, just to make sure that people can get onto Tim and Pete if they need. The lads have been flat out during Covid, and they do it all. 14.01.2022 AND OF COURSE TRUCKERS A very key cap to a very key demographic. Truckers were really big in the early 00's (thanks to people like Andy Roddick), and now are making a resurgence. Unlike most things though, truckers never fully went away. They've always maintained a presence in the rural and agricultural community. ... A comfy trucker cap gets plenty of wear, so we try to make sure ours will hold onto its shape and colour as long as it possibly can. Although the old foamy style of caps are doable, it doesn't take much for them to lose shape so we prefer embroidery on more durable material. Take this trucker we've done up for Brandon Pietsch from Pietchy's Contracting Solutions. A classic black cap that will be a lock with anything from work to golf. It's timeless, and the logo really pops. We've also thrown Pietschy's number neatly on the back side so people know where to go for ..... Well just about anything. Pcs works out of Yanco in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area but covers the whole of the Riverina and indeed Southern NSW. What can he do? The shorter answer is what can't he do. 12.01.2022 WELDER'S FLASH !!! We've whipped up these Hi-Vis shirts for Zac from Zac Pirie Welding and Fabrication. We've actually had a few requests for hi-vis singlets and shirts over the course of the year. Whilst we haven't got into the commercial market for hi-vis yet, there's a few tradies around NSW and South Australia in our hi-vis gear. ... Zac did what a lot of local tradies around the traps are wisely opting to do. Worked on a design with us, put it up on his socials to gauge interest in orders from his mates, and then we went away and made them up for him! Having only been out by himself for 3 months, this is a brilliant way to garner attention and build awareness of your new business. And these things are extremely bright so they'll be seen from a mile away! We all wear clothes. So the goal is to get people into something that's comfortable and they'll want to wear. Running a pre-order is the perfect way to get an accurate number, and make sure you're giving your gear to people who will actually wear them. Thanks to ZPW for the order! 11.01.2022 SHORTS FOR ERNIE SPRINGO Now we're in that time of year everyone loves. Some people call it Spring ... But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about the magical 7-8 month season of the calendar.... Shorts weather. For something we've developed with minimal advertising, our shorts have taken off. It all started with the North Wagga AFNC shorts (which are now into a gen 2), and we've had tradies left right and centre clamouring for a pair of these. Why? Because we know shorts. The length has to be elite. They need pockets. And most importantly: they need to be light and quick dry. We scoured everywhere for the exact material that we wanted our shorts to be made out of. It's super lightweight, extremely comfortable and dries very quick. Just what you want for sports and a hard day on the tools. As tradies (like Liam from LG Carpentry) are wearing their tool belts to hold all their precious cargo, they just want something light and quick dry that they can throw on. And also something that their mates will keep front of wardrobe. We don't think anyone could've product tested these better than Cob last year when he gave them maximum wear through the hot, humid climates of South East Asia. 11.01.2022 DAD CAPS FOR THE NEWLY FATHER OF THREE We love these. Dad caps. We know everyone who follows Zac from Zac Robinson Electrical will have most likely seen these marvels, but for all you who don't (and seriously for those who don't jump across, both customers and tradies, as Zac is really good over socials!!) Washed charcoal denim.... Washed. Charcoal. Denim. That's a good look. And it goes best with this style of cap. 11.01.2022 HE'LL BUILD A WALL BRICK BY BRICK Seriously we saw the other day that the Donald's glamorous new wall is already starting to degrade and fall away in places. Bloody hell Donald. If you're going to do a job, then do it right. And that starts with getting the right tradies in for the job. ... The brickie. The absolute goer on the worksite. Right up there with creters and shearers as tradies requiring strength and endurance. There's only so many shortcuts, but you still have to lift and move a fair share of bricks. And what goes with that is skill and precision. You know why rendering was invented back in 1879 ? To cover up shithouse bricklaying (don't fact check any of that). Brick and blocklaying is an art. 08.01.2022 GOLF CLUB POLOS A frustratingly beautiful game. Where one good shot can have you on cloud 9, and the following one can have you throwing the club further than the distance the ball travelled. There's absolutely nothing better than watching one sail down the fairway, watching your approach shot plop next to the pin, or watching a monster putt curl late and drop in the cup. ... And there's equally nothing more infuriating than hearing a murdered drive middle a tree off the tee after a vicious slice, the plop of your ball into water, or watching your ball all of a sudden become afraid of the dark and decide to ride the rim out of the hole from 20cm. You may not be able to play like a pro, but you can certainly look like one. 08.01.2022 COBRAPPAREL CUP FINAL What an amazing initiative by Wagga Cricket to put on this T20 comp. T20 is a great product for both watching and participation. Compared to the other formats it's a much shorter game, there's much more aggressive batting leading to more boundaries ... There's more close results, and a lot less time to make decisions. It's also a great leveller, the only format where a team like the The Netherlands Cricket can topple a heavyweight like England Cricket... . An individual performance of sheer brilliance is more likely to heavily effect a game of T20 compared to the other two. The teams that have won the most decisive moments find themselves facing off in the Inaugural #CobrapparelCup T20 Final tomorrow on the big stage, under Friday night lights (6:30PM) at Robertson Oval. Both teams deserve their spot in the big one, so we can't wait to see what kind've cricket they produce. In a new format for the league, the only measurable form has been their performances over the past month. Will it be a batsmen that takes it upon himself and scores big? Or will it be a bowler who uses his 24 balls to turn the game for his team? We wish the Wagga RSL Cricket Club and the Wagga City Cats Cricket Club (time to jump on Insty you two!) the best of luck in tomorrow's final. As well as that we can't wait to see the end result for money raised for every 6 hit to Country Hope . A great initiative! To the businesses who donated from as small as a dollar per 6, it all adds up and there's a couple of grand for the team at Country Hope so far! Don't pack tea tomorrow night, Country Hope will be putting on a BBQ for the night, with all money raised going to their cause. But make sure you pack yourself! Bring a few mates, or you family and come enjoy a good night down on the grassy banks at Robbo! It's located in Central Wagga, so all you creatures of the night can use it as your starting point for after work drinks, whilst families can pull out the picnic rug, and bring a bat and ball down for the kids to have a hit on the grass with. 06.01.2022 COBRAPPAREL CUP T/20 FINAL !! Its been a short and sharp comp, which suits the format (take note Big Bash) and we're now got the best 2 teams playing off for the inaugural #CobrapparelCup ! Just quickly in case you missed it, a HUGE congratulations to the Kooringal Colts Cricket Club's Macgregor Hanigan for the simply unbelievable figures of 8/14 of 3.3 overs, in what to this point has surely been the best individual performance of the tournament. ... It honestly needs repeating. He bowled 21 balls. and 8 of them were wickets. A wicket every 2.6 balls. Throw a hat trick in there for good measure and that's one of the best bowling figures you'll ever see. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to get the Colts through though, as the final on Friday sees Wagga RSL Cricket Club take on the Wagga City Cats Cricket Club in what is looking to go down to the wire tomorrow. Get yourself and the family or a few mates down to sit on the grassy hills at Robbo to watch the inaugural final. It's free entry, and all for a good cause. On-field, every six hit is still raising money for Country Hope and off-field they'll be supplying a BBQ and soft drinks. Best of luck to the two clubs going at it tomorrow night! Sarahjane having been living in Victoria and after wearing her mandatory facemask has come up with a design that will make mask wearing much more bearable, with some added specs like adjustable ears and wire around the nose to avoid glasses/sunnies fog when wearing out and about ! They have multiple layers which is recommended to be worn by the general public by the CDC and numerous studies. Also of great importance, they're washable and reusable which saves using single use facemasks that are being discarded and ending up in landfills, as litter, or in the ocean. And of course... 05.01.2022 UP THE RIFF !! Scott from Southern Plumbing Plus wanted to do something special for his mate Matt at Black Mountain Plumbing in the ACT. Matt's seemingly a big Penriff Panfers fan. And as the Penrith Panthers were having an absolute year to remember, Scott wanted to do up some special work polo's for Matt. ... Enter these beauties. It's actually a brilliant colour scheme that just works for the old 'Riff'. They tried brown and teal amongst plenty of combinations but you just can't beat these colours on a black background. The tricolour band's work together well for a classy look with the Black Mountain logo! And the 'God's Gift to Plumbing' slogan on the background ... Nothing like a touch of cheeky banter! When the Crookwell Senior Green Devils Football Club women's team; the She Devil's, asked us to whip up some training shorts for them, Cob said 'no worries'. But after that, guess what he did? He realised only women know what women want in apparel, and he got Britt on board to develop these. And aren't they something special. The fit, the elite material, the sleek design. Girls. KHS is usually synonymous with the Hawthorn colour scheme, but with the help of KHS's own Mrs Schmetzer we were able to put something together for the students to swarm over. ...
