18.01.2022 Following the recent announcement regarding the cancellation of the AJIHL season for 2020/2021 , in conjunction with our senior coaches , we are pleased to brin...g to you a super 20’s league instead with an expanded age group. The league will consist of four teams of 15 players over an 8 week period to be played on Friday nights at Perth Ice Arena. Two games each night commencing 23rd of October 2020, 7:30pm and 9:00pm 18th of December 2020. We have a break the weekend of the 6th of November 2020. Two teams will train together once a week on either Monday or Tuesday nights at Perth Ice Arena ( depending on which team you are drafted to ) at 6.00pm 7.00pm . There will be no training on the 2nd & 3rd of November 2020. Coaches will be drafting the players to ensure that the teams are even. This is a full checking league men’s league only with eligible players born 1997 2005 Inclusive. With this broad age group, safety in mind the coaches draft will ensure that the younger players are line matched as much as possible. The coaches for the four teams are : Ben Breault Dave Ruck Marc Vaillancourt Bryan Maybee Cost will be between $280 - $385 including Jersey , games and training. To allow us to finalize the ice bookings and order jerseys , can you please register your interest by no later than Sunday 4th of October 2020. There is no cost to register , however you must be an IHWA members as this is an IHWA league. 17.01.2022 Notice to All New rule (IHWA) for 2020 season Spitting (General COVID) - any player, team official who spits onto the ice, or into the team bench, or penalty bo...x, will be penalised as follows: a) First offence (team) - Warning. b) Second offence - Misconduct (10 min) This has been introduced by IHWA Exec due to the risk to the 2020 League of breaching COVID restrictions. All bodily fluids should be controlled and disposed of safely. Any instances of Spitting at, or towards, other players, Officials or Spectators, will be subject to Rule 162 - Spitting = MATCH penalty.

15.01.2022 Cancellation - National Development Camps Jan 2021 COVID-19 has again affected one of IHA's key activities being our National Development Camps. In addition to ...the continuing uncertainty around travel due to travel restrictions, the limitations on numbers allowed for group accommodation has meant that we are unable to run the January camps for 2021. While this is disappointing news, we are excited to announce we will be running 'virtual camps' for both age groups. The camps will be hosted online in the weeks from 3rd January to 18th January 2021. Exact dates and details will soon be available. The virtual camps will be free of charge to attend, and we are looking forward to bringing you some amazing development tools, information and resources. The camp will be open to all players in the age categories for the camps. If you have any questions, please contact Ice Hockey Australia via [email protected].

14.01.2022 Please be advised of the following requirement for Cockburn Ice Arena entry. COVID - 19 contact registers are now mandatory for indoor sports venues and restaurants. Please ensure you download the Safe WA app and scan the QR code every time you visit the Cockburn Ice Arena venue. Thank you for your understanding. Non compliance carries a hefty fine. People using the rink must scan every time they go to the rink. The alternative is to handwrite contact details on a paper based copy which will be kept for 28 days and will be available in the Rink reception and at the Cabin wait station.

03.01.2022 ICE HOCKEY IS BACK! After a delay to the start of the 2020 Winter season, we are finally back on the ice this weekend! This year IHWA have some exciting changes..., especially for the Premier League Division. These games will now be held Friday nights so come on down and support the teams. Please ensure that at all times you adhere to any and all Phase 3 COVID-19 Safety Guidelines at both Perth Ice Arena and Cockburn Ice Arena. This weekend’s schedule:
