22.01.2022 NSW LEVY As of 1 February 2018 the NSW Government will start collecting a $1 tax on all NSW point-to-point ground transfers. All taxi, rideshare and hire car providers will need to pay a temporary $1 tax for each customer trip taken in NSW. ... This means passengers will be charged an additional $1 + GST by Cars on Demand for each trip taken. As you know the operator collecting the money from the customer is responsible for the Levy. Therefore, No ACTION is required by any driver doing a job for Cars on Demand customers. The money collected by the NSW government will be used fund a $250 million dollar taxi compensation package to counterbalance the impact of introducing ridesharing. Cars on Demand has no choice but to comply. If you think this tax is unfair please let your voice be heard by contacting the Transport Minister, the Hon Andrew Constance, on [email protected] . 16.01.2022 ONE LESS CLICK ! At Cars on Demand we are always thinking of ways to innovate and make your user experience even better than what it currently is. We recently implemented booking prompts, so instead of confirming a booking and then creating a return trip, you can now do this with ONE click only. I know it seems crazy that one click makes such a difference but as a busy EA when you are doing bookings for road trips and there are 6 or 8 transfers in the one trip, having to click one less time will add up at the end of the month. :-)

11.01.2022 Over the past few weeks we have made some improvements to the booking sheet, in order to reduce any unforced errors from customers who are booking online. We looked at all the errors made during the making and editing of airport transfers and made some small changes to improve your user experience. Currently, if you edit an airport transfer and you change the time, our website will remove the old flight number which will prompt you to put in the new flight number that the pas...senger is travelling on. We have also fixed the view of the international numbers, so you can select them now easilly. We ahve also removed the default time of 10am, so now you will actually need to select a time, where as before if you forgot to do so, the system assumed that your desired time was 10am, well that is no longer the case. We also added the links to our apps on all the emails communications that come to you. Stay tuned as we have some other exciting new developments coming your way to make your expereince even better when booking with Cars on Demand.
