24.01.2022 What a fantastic day with hundreds of Coffs Harbour people visiting our unique club. Thank you so much for your support. We had 14 people take a trial flight and both of our aircraft were flying all day! We all appreciate your support so much. We hope to see you all again :)

22.01.2022 CLUB FLY AWAY Thursday 26th November to Sunday 29th November. As many of you know, the Royal Flying Doctor Outback Air Race is on again in 2021 (Covid-19 or some other catastrophic event permitting). The event starts in Darwin on 29th August 2021. Coffs Harbour Aero Club is very fortunate to have been selected to host the last leg of the race and the final dinner on Sunday 12th September (watch this space as event gets closer).... Several club members have nominated to be on the Race Organising Committee. I have been delegated to arrange the Roma QLD leg of the event because I have a good contact there. I have been promising to come and see him once the border has opened to discuss arrangements. Well that time is here. I thought we might make a group opportunity out of the visit and widen to flight plan with some extra inclusions. Many will recall the Club Fly Away to Lake Eyre last year. This will be of similar fun. PROPOSED ITINERY Thursday 26th November Depart Coffs Aero Club 8.30 am for ROMA (Duration 2.6 2.8 hours) Taxi to accommodation then pub lunch. Free time. Evening meal will be booked Friday 27th November Depart ROMA for CUNNAMULLA (Duration around 1.5 1.7 hours) Taxi to accommodation Free time Evening meal will be booked Saturday 28th November Depart Cunnamulla for GOONDAWINDI (Duration 2.2 -2.4 hours) Taxi to accommodation Free time Evening meal will be booked Sunday 29th November Depart GOONAWINDI for COFFS HARBOUR (Duration 1.8 2 .0 hours) Notes: Although accommodation and meals will be pre-booked individuals will pay on the day. AvGas is available at each location. Trip is not officially endorsed by the Club so self-insurance conditions apply. Warren Millar will provide flight planning assistance. 20.01.2022 Open day tomorrow, Sunday the 4th - we've got a huge selection of food and drinks available from 9:30 - 4pm or so- Hot Dogs, Sausage Burgers, Bacon and Egg Burgers, Cheesecake, Coffee Tea and our fully licensed bar will be open if you'd like a quiet drink! We prefer cash please to avoid an eftpos surcharge- Thanks and we look forward to seeing you here tomorrow! The aero club is on aviation drive near the old domestic terminal- Turn left onto Christmas Bells Rd from Hogbin Drive and then right into Aviation Drive.

15.01.2022 Well our open day was a HUGE success, with over 200 people through the gate, great to see so many people engaging with our awesome club! Thanks to our ever popular Joe and Brodie for manning the gate Even though a lot of the attractions cancelled in the last week the day was still very successful.... A very BIG BIG thank you to all the volunteers over the whole weekend. Many people have made the workload of the Open Day a lighter load and more enjoyable. To all the people who came on Saturday , Thanks thanks so much for your help , To the Bar staff , Rohan and Luke ,and the Kitchen Staff Beck-great B&E rolls mate and Betty - best kitchen hand out , and Don with the Coffee - a very BIG Thank you Thanks to Murray for the BBQ and Lorraine for the cakes And massive thanks to Alan Kneale , the man behind the scenes doing all the work and organising the events and coordinating with council and ATC , a mighty big THANK YOU for all your efforts and the time you put into making the day a success. Thanks to the ARFS fire services , thanks for turning on a great show, to the Highway Patrol Officer who was a great hit , Thank you To all of the local pilots who put their planes on display - thanks so much. To Tim , the owner of the YAK, thanks for letting us put it on display , much appreciated. and lastly THANKS to Brad and Simon for their never ending TIF flights , well done on the day in some pretty challenging conditions but everyone was buzzing after their experiences.
