12.01.2022 Great story by ‘News of the Area’ editor Brad Greenshields Nikki a young Blue on the rise COFFS Rugby player Vereniki Naureure has been chosen to play in the under-18s Gen Blue NSW Juniors squad.... Nikki as he's known at the Snappers and among his friends played for Country against a City team at Camden on Sunday and impressed the selectors in the 24-19 loss. Capable of playing in the centres, on a wing and even in the forwards, Naureure performed well with nice possession and crossed for a try. Snappers president Matt Quirk said the club is thrilled for Naureure and all that he's achieved. "Snappers are extremely proud of Nikki and his selection," Quirk said. "It's thoroughly deserved and has come from hard work and dedication to rugby. "Nikki has a huge career ahead of him." A proud Fijian-born young man, Naureure came to Australia as a junior, playing his first rugby in this country in Western Australia. At the age of 15 he came across to Coffs Harbour and chose the Snappers as his home club." In a short space of time he's developed a reputation for being a player with plenty of enthusiasm, always talking on the field wanting the ball. This Sunday, Nikki's representative team will face a strong NSW Gen Blue Schools outfit. 06.01.2022 200 YEARS of EXPERIENCE Over the last 4 weeks we have been putting together our first ever junior coaches team for Under 8s - 12s mixed and Under 14 and 16 girls to play in the Coffs Harbour Crusaders Junior Friday Night Competition Safe to say we have over 200 years of coaching and playing experience at the highest level from people that have put up their hand to do this. Welcome back to quite a few Snappers Old Boys too who now have kids playing rugby. ...
