09.01.2022 Did you get a confirmation email? There are quite a few incomplete registrations on our system. If you didn't get a confirmation email and/or payment hasn't been deducted, you may need to go in and finalise your registration.

07.01.2022 It's time to start organising our 2021 Cohuna Bridge to Bridge. We're looking for volunteers who can join our team to run another fantastic event. No experience needed, just a desire to help your community enjoy a fun day and raise money for the Cohuna District Hospital. We have monthly meetings leading up to the event and while it would be ideal to attend these meetings, it's not essential. We'd like to build on the team we had this year and make the 2021 B2B even better! Come along (via Zoom) at 7.30pm on Wednesday 15th July. We anticipate this to be a short meeting where we will see the team formed and roles established so we can start planning from August. ****Please message us to get the Zoom link, or if you are interested but can't make it.****

05.01.2022 Thank you DS Accounting for your ongoing sponsorship! DS Accounting is based in Moama but Rohan is a Cohuna boy who still likes to help out his home-town community. Thanks, Rohan! Call Rohan for your accounting needs.

05.01.2022 Here is some info for our trail runners - please watch if you haven't run on trails before. Our trails are very non-technical but there are some need-to-know things. There are four to watch. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1977727519200582 https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=290178585007914... https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=247878999494463 https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2306962142878612

05.01.2022 It's event day tomorrow! Woohoo, we're excited! For a smooth day for all, and to get the most out of the day: Read the info booklet (emailed to you or downloaded from the FAQ page of the website). Arrive around an hour earlier than your event time to pick up your bib and get to the bus. Know what time your event starts, and where from. Ensure you know the bus pick-up and drop-off points and allow extra time for this.... 12.5km and 21.1km runners must carry water (mandatory). Remember it's all for fun and to raise money for the Cohuna District Hospital. Bring some cash for a post-event massage (gold coin donation), buy a duck in the Duck Dash, have some yummy food and get the kids' faces painted and arms tattooed. Island Road is closed so seek alternative routes to the start (junior bike ride). Give the marshalls, volunteers and bus drivers a high five - they're giving up their time to make the event run. Read the info booklet (yep, we've already said it, but all the need-to-know info is in there). See more

05.01.2022 It's back! The Cohuna Bridge to Bridge is returning on March 14, 2021 with the same events you love, plus a virtual option for each. More details to come, and we'll let you know when registrations open.

05.01.2022 Here's a trail teaser! Both our 12.5km and 21.1km trail runs go through the Gunbower National Park and Gunbower State Forest.

05.01.2022 ONLINE REGISTRATIONS CLOSE TODAY. Don't leave it until the last minute to register. Online entries close at 11.59am TODAY. You can register, buy a shirt and pay all online. All you have to do then is pick up your bib and head to your event. No fussing around with paperwork and making sure you have correct money (plus there is a $5 late fee on Sunday). It's a very simple process.

05.01.2022 Calling all businesses! We encourage you to submit your sponsorship forms as soon as possible, especially if you are wanting naming rights of an event. To ensure your name is included on our print advertising, please return forms by Monday 18th.

05.01.2022 The Bridge to Bridge seems so long ago, and while we were lucky to scrape in with our event before Covid-19 struck, it did mean there was a delay in presenting the proceeds to the Cohuna District Hospital. A huge thank you to every single one of you out there (participants, sponsors, volunteers, hospital staff, and of course our committee) - you helped to raise a massive $12,000! $12,000! Amazing effort everyone. This will be put towards an endoscopy unit which is a vital pie...ce of theatre equipment used to screen for bowel cancer. From Ben Maw, CEO of CDH: "Bowel cancer is unfortunately still a major health concern for residents here in the Gannawarra region, and the second biggest killer in this region in respect to cancer. This donation will undoubtedly help our surgeons and doctors here that work with us at CDH to save lives. Early identification and treatment is the key to a better outcome from a bowel cancer diagnosis, and it’s something we can truly say we are grateful to be able to provide to the community as part of improving health outcomes for the region." Thanks again. Stay healthy and safe, and we'll see you all in 2021! Photo 1: Front L-R: Kirstin Nicholson, event director, Karyn Storm, theatre manager, and Lynne Sinclair, Director of Clinical Services. Behind L-R: Jan Monro, theatre technician, Katie Brown, Sandra Mackenzie, Jess Mihailovic, Toni Kelly and Johnny Doyle (Bridge to Bridge committee). Photo 2: Karyn Storm, theatre manager, and Jan Monro, theatre technician, giving us a rundown of the importance of this equipment.

04.01.2022 If you're one of our awesome volunteers, we're having an info night for all our volunteers tonight (Thursday) at 7pm. We will be sharing essential information, so it would be great if you can be there (and we can do it in one hit). Venue is AWMA (plenty of parking, enter in office door). Thanks to AWMA for letting us use its space.

04.01.2022 Why did the emu cross the road? To say g'day to the Cohuna Bridge to Bridge trail runners of course!

04.01.2022 ROAD CLOSURE Island Road from the town roundabout to Burkes Bridge will be closed from 7.00am to 12pm Sunday 1st March. This is for the safety of all competitors. If you know anyone wanting access to the ski run, caravan park, free campsite or forest during those times, please let them know of the road closures.... Residents of Island Road and off-shoots have been notified by letter drop (if they had a mailbox).

04.01.2022 Let's talk bowel cancer... We're raising funds this year for an endoscopy camera to use in the theatres for the purpose of investigation and diagnosis of bowel related conditions. Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in Australia and very predominant in our community. Early identification is the key for effective treatment and cure, a service the hospital has been providing for many years, and the purchase of a replacement camera will allow them to continue doing ...this type of work every month here in Cohuna. The units are very expensive and deteriorate with the heavy use and sterilisation needed to ensure their safety, and with the current two cameras significantly aged, we are desperately looking to get support in their replacement so we can continue to offer this life changing service locally. Theatre nurses, Karyn and Tanna.

04.01.2022 Great news - registrations are open! Go to our website to read all about the events - we have the SAME SEVEN EVENTS, plus VIRTUAL OPTIONS FOR ALL OF THEM. Please read the event details carefully before entering, then go to the 'Enter' tab and follow the instructions to register. www.bridgetobridge.org.au Thanks for your support!

03.01.2022 Calling all cyclists! So far we've received entries for the run/walk events only. Cyclists, don't let the runners beat you in the stats! Head to www.bridgetobridge.org.au for all the event details and to enter. Early bird pricing ends Jan 24. Photo of Charles Kellow, a racing cyclist, in 1885. 03.01.2022 Wow! What a day - how are you feeling? Did you wear your medal to work or school on Medal Monday? Show it off, be proud of your personal achievement. There's a story behind every entrant in how they worked their butt off so they could get from the start to finish in their events on Sunday. To all our PARTICIPANTS, a huge thank you for entering and coming along. You all did such a great job, you should be proud of your efforts - we are. The proceeds from the event will go t...o towards an endoscopy unit for the Cohuna District Hospital and that couldn't happen without your entry. To our VOLUNTEERS, thank you for offering your assistance and giving up your time so the event could run smoothly. Our vollies took on roles that involved getting out of bed in the wee hours of the morning (but they were rewarded with a stunning sunrise over the Gunbower Creek), standing on their feet for hours, heavy lifting, setting up, packing up, admin duties, registration duties, MCing, handing out medals and so much more. We particularly want to thank the local CFA Cohuna Fire Brigade who helped with road management, and the staff from the Cohuna District Hospital who provided marshals out the bush, in the fun run and in the first aid tent, and Evolve College for providing massages. To our SPONSORS, thank you for your financial support, for your in-kind support, and your physical support. This takes the burden off and allows us to make the event spectacular without taking away from the hospital. We couldn't have made the event what it was without you. To Colours cones and coffee thank you for allowing us to use your shop for bib pick-up on Saturday, Ron Stanton and Murray Johnson and their drivers for the school buses, and to Cohuna Car Sales for the use of their bus and driver. To the LOCAL COMMUNITY, especially those who live along Island Road which is closed off for the morning, thank you for your patience and support while we ran the event. To the COMMITTEE, thank you for the many, many hours you have put in over the last six months and the lengths you have gone to, to bring the wider community an awesome event we can be proud of. With that, goes a huge shout out to the families of our committee who have given up so much too.

02.01.2022 ONLINE ENTRIES CLOSE IN ONE HOUR! You've got until 11.59am to get your online entries in. Don't leave it 'til the last minute - jump online and register now.
