16.01.2022 Hello Colac, This time next week we will be doing final sound checks for the 74th Colac City Band’s Carols by Candlelight. As you know, this year it will be an online event, so make sure you and your families and neighbours have your Carols plan in order so no one misses out on this wonderful event. Keep your eye on our page as an update on Monday will give you all the details on how to join us to kick off the festive season. A copy of the Carols will be uploaded so there ...is no excuse to not sing along. Remember too , that if you happen to be strolling along the Colac Lake foreshore on the 18th around 730pm, you may just hear the band as we get the event underway. Maybe some of you will be having a picnic tea down there. If so you could sing along live. The event will be broadcast live by OCRFM, so those that are not able to join the live stream, will be able to hear all their favourite carols on the radio and can join in the singing, with workmates , family and friends. 16.01.2022 Hello Colac, As this year comes to a close we would like to take this opportunity to to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for your support of our online 74th Carols by Candlelight, something very different that hopefully we won’t be needing to do next year. If any of you are interested in joining us in 2021, we will let you know when rehearsals start up again. New or returning members are always very welcome. 02.01.2022 It’s official Plan B it is !!!! Our 74th Carols by Candlelight will be delivered in a way our first members would never have dreamed of. Mind you 1851 was a long time ago. On the 18th December, commencing at 730pm, The Colac City Band will present the 74th Carols by Candlelight live streamed on our Facebook page, and broadcast on OCRFM. A HUGE thank you to Peter from PRD music and Jof from OCRFM also Vicki Jeffery from COS for sticking with us through this difficult time an...d helping us get the show on the road so to speak. We will give you more details closer to the day, so stay tuned. We would also like to thank you the Colac Community for sticking with us during this Covid roller coaster year. Brush up on the words to your favourite Carols so you can stand out in your driveways and sing Street Carols with your neighbours accompanied by The Colac City Band.
