During these times you definitely appreciate your health, employment and the ability to socialise with your clients. We feel very fortunate that we still have all of these.... We are open & our team of Osteopaths will continue to provide high level of care and we continue to uphold our high clinical and sanitation standards we have in place. 21.01.2022 With a few cases confirmed in Colac over the weekend, we want to inform all our patients we will continue to treat as normal but with some differences to help keep all safe. As of tomorrow, face masks will be in use when social distancing is unavoidable by our practitioners. We ask that any patients who currently feel unwell, have a cold or been in contact with any persons that may have tested positive, to avoid having treatment until well. ... Stay at home if someone in your home has been tested for covid-19 and awaiting results. We are happy to reschedule your appointment. There is a maximum of 3 patients in reception. We were contacted Sunday afternoon by Department of Health and Human Services that there was a confirmed case in our clinic recently. First and foremost our thoughts are with the individual and their family. We wish them all the best with their recovery during this difficult time. We are working closely with Department of Health and Human Services and following their instructions and contact tracing has been completed. 13.01.2022 Colac Osteopathic Clinic would like to introduce Catherine Ridout (Cat) who is joining our team of Osteopaths next week. Cat will be treating Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. We welcome Cat to our team. Originally from Canada, but after living in Melbourne for 8 years and becoming a one-eyed footy supporter, Cat now calls herself an Aussie.... Cat is passionate about anatomy and human movement, and was able to put this passion to use when she was asked to teach anatomy as part of the osteopathic course at Victorian university. Over the years working as an osteopath, Cat has developed a very structured, functional and rehab based form of treatment. However, she strongly believes that every person is unique therefore treatment must be tailored to the needs and goals of each patient as an individual. Her goal as an Osteopath is not only help others on their journey to wellness, but also to be able to give patients the understanding and tools to care for themselves. Cat has been very involved in local CrossFit gyms as a coach as well as community aged care programs which has allowed her to gain experience with a wider range of patients. In addition, she has been involved with local footy clubs as a sports trainer which sparked her interest in AFL footy, and you can now catch her tuning in to watch every Essendon game snuggled up on the couch with her young puppy and two cats.
