22.01.2022 Hi Sunshine Coast Business Group, I am needing the services of a Bookkeeper who can assist one of my clients with their Quickbooks. The client has managed to stuff up their Balance Sheet accounts for 2017-18. They need guidance to get last year corrected so they then go forward with confidence.... Please contact me by phone on 0405 097 681 or email @ [email protected] Thanks in advance Colin

17.01.2022 Hi there business people. I run a small, one person business, providing accounting & tax agent services from my home at Mooloolah. If you have been lodging your tax returns yourself you have until 31 October to lodge it or engage a tax agent. After that date you may incur a penalty from the ATO for late lodgement. Currently $210 for each 28 day period it is late.... If you are using a tax agent currently be aware you can change agents if you are not satisfied wth their service to you. Fortunately, for you, I have capacity to take you on as a client. The scope of clients I service include: Individuals (employees, retirees & investors), Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts, Companies and SMSF's. The services I provide are the preparation and lodgement of: Income Tax returns, Activity Statements & FBT returns. I also provide advice on Capital Gains, Salary Sacrifice, the GST, Fuel Tax Credits and Superannuation issues. In addition I undertake audits for Not-for-profit organisations (sporting clubs, religious groups and State School P & C's) and businesses that operate Trust Accounts. My points of difference to other firms are that: I will come to you, either during the business day or after work - at your place of work, or your home if you coming to me doesn't suit. My fees do not increase for this additional service. No work is outsourced. I have been in the taxation/ accounting industry since 1987. I am fully qualified, hold all relevant registrations and my existing customers are happy and refer me to both their family and friends. I hope to hear from you soon. 17.01.2022 Hi all, Due to hernia surgery, happening on Monday 27th August, I will not be able to offer taxation consultations at your home or place of work this week. I expect to be available for consultations at 38 Birdsong Drive on Thursday & Friday. Thanks for your understanding.... Colin

11.01.2022 Happy New Year from Colin Perryman Accounting Services I wish all of you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year in 2019. The arrival of the New Year is historically a time when changes to your life are considered. Decisions related to finance, health, careers and experiences are often the stuff of New Year resolutions.... Resolutions involving finance will usually require finding someone to guide you in your decision making to achieve your resolution. So who is to be your guide for accounting/ tax, financial planning, property & legal matters for the coming year? If there is anything I can assist you with in achieving finance related resolutions then please get in contact. My background of 40+ years working in taxation, government and social welfare industries has provided me with a wealth of life knowledge to share. My philosophy of guides is that you need to have a good relationship with them, be able to talk to them and have your side of any argument respected. You also need to trust their advice and believe they have your best interest at heart. Plus you need to be able to speak with them when YOU need them and NOT only when they want to speak to you. My accounting practice adheres to the above philosophy. I specialise in providing personal services to you - my client. All accounting and taxation work is done in-house by me and is not farmed out. If you don’t have that type of relationship with your current financial guide then you should consider moving your business on. If you want this type of relationship to achieve your resolutions please make contact with me. Colin Perryman M: 0405 097 681 E: [email protected] W: www.colinperryman.com.au

10.01.2022 Hi Mooloolan's who travel to Brisbane for work. This Wednesday you might have the day off (Ekka show day) but have you done your tax return yet? If not, just know that I am open all day from 8 am and ready to assist you. Give me a call on 0405 097 681 to arrange a time.

10.01.2022 Hi Moolooligan's and other fellow taxpayers. Are your taxation returns up to date? Do you have a debt with the ATO and you don’t know how to deal with arranging a payment plan? ... No you say! Well, just know I’m here to help you get them up to date and assist you in making a payment plan you can stick to. This past week I have had two clients, both with outstanding returns and debts to the ATO of over $25,000 that they didn’t know about until they got the call from the ATO. It looks like both should be able to have the debts extinguished with my help. If you, a family member, or a friend, or someone you know needs returns done or has debts with the ATO and they need help please pass on my information. With over 30 years experience in taxation there isn’t much that I deal with. Thanks in advance. 06.01.2022 Attention all Small Business owners. Are you up to date with the depreciation and the Instant Asset Write-Off rules? Currently: Up to 30 June 2019, you can write off (depreciate at 100%) purchases that individually cost under $20,000. This is legislated.... If you are GST registered the $20,000 limit is after you have claimed back the GST as a tax credit - so for you $22,000 is the limit. Don't forget you need to discount your GST claim (and your depreciation claim) for any personal use. For purchases made after that date the $$ limit drops back to $1000. This is legislated. Depending on the election result: On 29th January 2019 the LNP Government issued a press release to increase the limit to $25,000 from that date and extend the period to 30th June 2020. This depends on their being re-elected. On 2nd April the LNP Government announced that from that day they would increase it to $30,000. Again only extending it to 30th June 2020. After that it drops back to $1000. This depends on their being re-elected. The ALP in their policy documents advise they will permanently increase the Instant Asset Write-Off threshold to $20,000 AND where the expense is over $20,000 increase the depreciation rate for the first year to 40% from the current 15%. This depends on their being elected. So from now till the election result is decided: If you are looking at making purchases over $20,000 but below $30,000 you need to release that you may not be able to claim them at 100% depreciation. For more information on this and other taxation related topics give me a call on 0405 097 681 or email me at [email protected] Thank you for reading this.

06.01.2022 Hi Mooloolah and Sunshine Coast small businesses with less than 20 employees. Are you aware that from 1 July 2019 you are required by law to use "Single Touch Payroll" by the Federal Government? If you don't know what it is or how to go about choosing a compatible software package for your current accounting system give me a call to discuss your needs.... This change also affects companies with only one (1) employee - the Owner/ Director. Colin Perryman 0405 097 681 [email protected]
