25.01.2022 And if you are wearing black or dusty pink and like a full hat , check this out . $85

25.01.2022 Did people really perm toddlers hair?

25.01.2022 The grab for tissues and toilet paper continues as a reaction to perceived isolation and shortages during the pandemic. Does everyone remember handkerchiefs? I sell them

25.01.2022 Ms Margaret Mittens has decided she no longer wishes to be the shop cat. She eagerly awaits the drives home but whinges about the drive to the shop and hardly ever greets people in the shop anymore. I have agreed to her request to be a home cat. Now what will I have as our profile picture?

25.01.2022 What to do while socially distancing and waiting to reopen? New curtains for out the back of my shop when the crisis is over and discretionary spending eventually returns to the public psyche. Thanks Ned Armstrong for the metres of genuine Indian homespun. I’ve never worked with better fabric.

24.01.2022 I am no longer selling hats for Melbourne cup. I gave them all away so that Im not profiting by cruelty to horses in the race industry. I will still however make Christmas fascinators.

23.01.2022 Its sooo hot that fewer people are venturing out to shop so Im taking my holiday break from Jan 21 to Feb 28. Anyone needing to pick up laybys should do so next week, Cheers Lenore

23.01.2022 While you are isolating at home this is an excellent time to get out all the ceramics you don't use often and give them a good wash and soak. It helps to reduce crazing in the glaze. Also put a glass of water in your china cabinets and replace it when it is absorbed by the crockery. Stay safe and God willing we will meet again when CORONA VIRUS is all over. Lenore

22.01.2022 Happy Christmas everyone. I have turned off my award winning lights and closed shop until Thursday 9th January. Anyone needing something specific that I carry can call me on my mobile as I’m just 7 minutes away. Sending love to all my customers impacted by the fires. Lenore

22.01.2022 And the mural on my wall in the Moses Barnes restaurant courtyard is finished. Beautiful and bright and depicting the Picton convict settler/business owner in 1836. Check out Moses Barnes website for artist and details. Just hope it brings me customers too.

22.01.2022 Sneak Peek. Reopening Friday 5th June 4 years to the day of the picton flood disaster. Still a bit of stock to unload from all those wonderful volunteer cleaners and packers but reopen I will

21.01.2022 A lovely tea set. The lidded mug is a ring in but goes nicely

21.01.2022 My Isolation is over but social distancing is in place. I isolated out the back of the shop getting the former sections decorated as they were finally rebuilt after the 2016 flood. Open from 11.am

20.01.2022 The lights are on and 5 days until reopening. Oh and then its Illuminarte so more lights to come

20.01.2022 Do you remember how great my shop was four years ago before the Picton flood? Well I’ve managed to trade on in a reduced capacity with a third of my space since the back was demolished but today after four years of waiting I finally have all my space back. Looking good? I plan to reopen after Carona virus isolating on 5th June exactly four years to the day of the flood. All my former sections will be back in operation - salvage yard, horse float cottage, greenhouse display/storage, landscaping and all the regular stock. You will also be able to enter from the rear in Walton Street where there is ample free council parking. And very soon, next door, Moses Barnes will be open for coffee. Sound like a date? Just socially distance and take advantage of my hand sanitisers and see you soon. Lenore

17.01.2022 Cricket memorabilia anyone?

15.01.2022 Late night Shopping Thursdays until Christmas. Free gift for first 10 customers who spend over $50 on 29th November between 4.00 and 8.00pm

15.01.2022 Thank you for all the flowers gifts, cards, visits, social media wishes and warm welcoming back to the shop.

13.01.2022 Fabulous small uranium/Vaseline/citrine glass Victorian/Edwardian jug with applied feet and frilled edge. Stunning at $200

13.01.2022 Doing my best at keeping us all safe in my Picton shop. You have all been magnificent at managing this.

12.01.2022 Good neighbours with lots of talent. Grey cork board by the clever Lindal from Picton Creative Traders Markets and trim by Kim at Hippy Luxe. Oh and that’s me and Ms Margaret Mittens waiting to look after you at Collectables at Picton

12.01.2022 Cute little additions to my outdoor stock. Great recycling of old shoes

12.01.2022 Not Opening until 1pm ish Thursday 2August. Family illness. Sorry for inconvenience. Call 0412992495 if urgent. Lenore

10.01.2022 And now ladders up, getting ready for Illuminarte Saturday. Thank you Joe for getting on the roof and testing out my design. More to come yet.

10.01.2022 Reopening Thursday 3rd May 2018

10.01.2022 Thanks everyone for your concern about the shop in the Monday 10th February flash flooding. Many thanks to Ann and Matt who helped me move out some stock the day before. Lots of warnings this time (thanks Council, Chamber, SES). Apart from loss of stock in storage wet from 300mm in my shed, a hole in my ceiling and lost roof sheeting we sustained minimal damage and easy clean up compared to the 2016 horror. Sorry for those down the other end of town.

08.01.2022 Look what’s happened to my wall. A very exciting mural is unfolding as the soon to open Moses Barnes restaurant takes shape. At first I thought someone had graffitied it all but tonight the colours were being applied and it’s going to look fantastic. Can’t wait for my daily coffee just next door

08.01.2022 See you on the next two Thursday nights and I’ll have my Christmas light display finished for your pleasure

08.01.2022 An interesting harp occasional table. Reproduction but nice

07.01.2022 So many trinkets to choose from.

05.01.2022 Melbourne cup hats nearly all gone. No black, red or back and white left if that gives you an idea of what people are wearing this year. Just these few fascinators, hatinators and hats left. Great prices

05.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Thanks for the piping in Fran and thanks to all the people who brought flowers and wished me well. It was a great first day back

05.01.2022 Dear customers, as I have a business of non essentials and people have already begun social distancing due to the pandemic I have decided to close my shop UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE so I can be with a frail relative in the high risk category and assist my family in a more supportive way. I pray we retain our resilience throughout this crisis and hope to return soon. Anyone with Lay-bys, you have my phone number. Stay safe, calm and sensible Lenore

04.01.2022 My usual ANZAC day wreath will not be on my shop door this year as there will be no crowd outside acknowledging the marches as they pass. Instead It is on my house gate where I will be at 6am Saturday with a candle and wearing rosemary and will play the service on my laptop. Why not do it from your balcony or gate too. I downloaded the service to my laptop from RSL Queensland. Lest we Forget in our isolation.

02.01.2022 My favourite Antique Shop just reopened welcome back Lenore! Back area looks amazing. Got my self a new mobile phone! Support Local Business!
