24.01.2022 I love and thank my clients that allow me to have a laugh about things they do... Our clients often like to help pack their treasured items - such as chocolate. When packing items, Colomba Property will not do this... Yes - these items were packed in the sugar container that we nearly full. Great protection for the chocolate I guess.

23.01.2022 Today I caught up with Vicki from Stewart Real Estate, who let me know she has people with money ready to buy property in the Sunshine Coast. Then I walked past a real estate agency in Coolum Beach and it looks like they don't have much stock to sell either. Vicki mentioned prices are starting to go up.

20.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Maroochydore's guest speaker for tonight is Ross Wilkinson who has written the book "Kick Depression in the Guts". He will share his views on how he did it himself using gut health as the answer. The meeting is held at the Sands Tavern, arriving at 5:45pm for a 6pm start. Why not come along and listen to a motivational speaker in such hard times and learn about Rotary and how we support the local community.

11.01.2022 This morning whilst working with a client to do the final preparation for the move tomorrow to angela aged care facility we uncovered just over $7,500 cash in 2 hiding spots. Last week the client's friend found another stash of cash in the house, which was banked. None of it found in hand bags, wallets or the safe. As we continue to clear out this home I wonder how much more we will find.

09.01.2022 Last week whilst clearing a deceased estate, we came across 4 prosthetic legs, so we contacted Dynamic Prosthetics and Orthotics Australia. This resulted in a visit to their office / workshop. Even though the legs were not cleaned, they were very happy to received them. They are looking forward to giving them to someone who needs them (once cleaned), even though they were old style.

06.01.2022 Wouldn't it be great if we could go back to the old days where we bought furniture and quality items that lasted / reused for a long time to reduce waste and subsequently land fill. Why not check out the second hand shops and see what you can refurbish or reuse.

05.01.2022 The rain and cool mornings arrived on the Sunshine Coast today, but how great was the weekend.

05.01.2022 Unfortunately, sometimes dementia gets the better of people's minds. If you are assisting someone with deciding where to live: remain at home with additional home care services; or an aged care facility, please do your research on the variety of options. Take into consideration possible health changes as a result of a move. Having moved numerous seniors, I have seen a decline in their mental health as a result of the emotional and physical stress of a move. Many time they bounce back once they have had a chance to rest and de-stress, however, sometimes they don't. Within months, we went back to help our clients go from 2 units to 1, to sell one unit, plus move a few items to a new aged care facility room.
