22.01.2022 A peaceful corner with reading chair. My very first custom designed linen for curtains in a spare bedroom back in 2010. ~ This fabric has found new life in its second home (the family took these curtains with them) and reinterpreted some of it for upholstery on this gorgeous reading chair. ~... The very first fabrics I designed were inspired by my great great grandfather Adam Forster’s botanical watercolour paintings, now stored in the Australian National Library. ~ I hand painted this large scale Orange Blossom in a custom red textile ink which I remember mixing up on the studio balcony to make sure I got the right daylight to see. 15.01.2022 A new Spring textile for the Ocre Designs collection, launching soon, but I can’t wait to share a snap shot of it with you here now. ~ This is the story of the Australian Boabab tree and it’s Lily that flowers once a year for just 24 hours. 15.01.2022 Working on a project using the Waratah fabric. I’ve teamed up with interior designer @valrx7s whose using Ocre fabrics as well as incorporating some custom designs for the Master Bedroom. ~ She has such an extraordinary eye for how to make rooms and interior spaces come to life. 09.01.2022 The Tea Room of a house in Toowoomba I custom designed the curtain and chair fabric for. The room is the first room to be entered and is in high use by the family and their visitors. ~ They had been hunting for the right fabric for a few years and when we came together I drew inspiration from different parts of their home, including the antique wallpaper that lines the back of a French Tea Cabinet, standing in the same room on the opposite wall. ~... 06.01.2022 My beautiful Maude The truest friend, my great Aunt , an incredible mentor I’m so grateful to have in my life. ~ This portrait of her I painted for the Archibald Prize 2020, where I know she will always be a part of, contributing to the cultural fabric of NSW sculpture Association and all their extraordinary members. ~... She gave endlessly and shared her knowledge as a wise friend and avid sculptor until the age of 94 and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. ~ Our beautiful Maude passed on to the next life a few weeks ago and she’s never been more close. Don’t forget to let the important people know you’re thinking of them, even if it’s a long time between events. Be forever grateful. ~ #thankyou See more

04.01.2022 Holy Toledo Batman and Robin!This is the face, firstly of a girl whose had little sleep and an overdose of Uni painting/drawing assessment and back to back zoom meetings and student consults, but it’s also the face of a girl who just got the best text message in the whole entire world.... ~ 2 weeks ago I donated blood, for the first time. Ok, yes I know my next birthday is the big 50 and I should have done this sooner but shit happens and I just didn’t. ~... Anyhow, I found out that today my blood is on it’s way to a regional city in Queensland and is set to save a life! Today! Like, right friggin now! Holy shit! ~ If any of you have ever thought about donating blood and are like me: have always had full health, then just get on that boat and do it!.
