25.01.2022 A beautiful new home we have just completed...

25.01.2022 Recently we completed this Kitchen/Living room renovation. By adding a wall we were able to utilise wasted space, gaining a walk in pantry for extra storage. This kitchen is complete with stone bench tops providing generous bench space, a dream gas cooker and large oven, and functional draws throughout. We were able to bring life to this space by adding down lights and pendants in all the right places. Custombuilt Furnishers

23.01.2022 A stunning bathroom renovation completed!

23.01.2022 Update on a previous post . This is the floor that popped up under pressure of expansion. Biggest problem was flooring is only fixed to pine battens that are 12mm thick , not enough gap left against walls and no cork joints. Hard to believe this floor lasted as long as it has maybe about 10 years old . We managed to do a quick fix adding a cork joint and sanded just these boards.

23.01.2022 This beautiful coastal home now has most of the high work completed. The removal of the scaffold starts next week. We can then start some outside works.

22.01.2022 Wow! who's up for coffee ? This week "The Table" at Water Street Kitchen has started serving coffee along with amazing food . We at Col Richards Constructions are proud to have been part of the process in turning this quaint old shop into what it is today. Thanks also to Custombuilt Furnishers

21.01.2022 Last night our apprentice Lockie Wood took out Carpentry apprentice of the year at the East Coast Apprentice Awards night. Great work Lockie keep it up.

21.01.2022 Come and experience coffee and lunch at the newly renovated Water Street Kitchen. Amazing food and great atmosphere!! This is another project we have just completed. Keeping the old with the new the result is beautiful.

20.01.2022 This project involves turning a two way bathroom into an ensuite adding another seperate shower and vanity and remodel the laundry with the toilet beside all in the same floor space . This makes much more sense now with 2 showers 2 toilets great for having guests stay over.

20.01.2022 We have just completed the extension to this home including kitchen, bedroom and bathroom adding both comfort and space whilst blending new with old!

18.01.2022 This bathroom Reno in a 1970s home brings a modern lift making use of the frameless shower screen and 900 mm long tiled shower grate . With tiles floor to ceiling bringing the floor tile up the end wall it came up looking great and very functional.

17.01.2022 I was called out to very beautiful home this week to check out a problem with the timber floor. This should not happen if the floor is installed correctly. There is a building code that is clear on the correct methods and this was not followed in this case.

15.01.2022 We are adding a few progress photos from the last couple of weeks timber flooring ,new kitchen .Windows and window furniture to match existing. Using Hardie Groove wall sheeting to match original vertical tongue and groove walls.

15.01.2022 Another small project completed. We replaced the old deck the brick piers and added a roof over the front part of the deck.

15.01.2022 This great coastal home is progressing well roof on and windows going in today . Battening the site down for the possibility of TC Omas visit.

11.01.2022 This week we have completed another great project check out the before and after photos. We have tried to imitate as best we can the era of the home inside and out and it has come up wonderfully . Another very happy client.

09.01.2022 We have completed a major renovation on this 120 year old Queenslander. Loosing that horrible middle bedroom that these homes have and turning it into much more beautiful and liveable living room. Removed 4 main walls and replaced them with one hardwood post. The kitchen looks amazing and was built by Custombuilt Furnishers The byfold windows and French doors built by The Door Keeper

07.01.2022 The week just gone we poured the slab for great new 2 story home at the coast. Will be our first job to get going after Christmas break.

04.01.2022 Recently we completed a second story deck with an insulated Solarspan roof which was added to a nice old Queenslander.

04.01.2022 Life is not all about work. Yesterday we took our team out to watch the Tobruk go down was a great day out

04.01.2022 This is a patio we replaced last week. The old existing patio roof was low and not insulated making it unbearably hot in summer .The new patio roof is Solar Span insulated panel lifted up to let more light into the house and will have no radiant heat when the sun is on it . The smooth white colour bond finish underneath is very easy to clean and the panels have provision inside of them to accommodate wiring for lights or fans. Looks great and very practical.

02.01.2022 Another Extension/ renovation we are doing at the moment adding a bedroom,bathroom,study and some storage as well as new a kitchen. Ready for the roof next week.
